Caseback Number question
Hi, apologies if this has been asked. May I know what does the case back number stand for (not the serial # that starts with an alphabet). Is it rerferring to the nth piece of same model made? Thank you
What to do ??
Hi guysI already own the AP royal oak offshore 44 RG. Now I want smaller watch also for dayily use, which will be RG as well:) I am confused and not sure what should I get !! Should it be Royal oak 41 mm RG ? Patek philip rg on Strap ? Leo Messi RG ? Any opinion ??Thanks 1!
A Spy Shot !
Poor quality I know but I thought it was pretty funny ...A fogged up AP Tourbillon that wasn't even working ... What was the guy thinking ? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370356218.578400.jpg
5167 stainless vs rubber
This may be a stupid question but I randomly found a dealer that had a 5167 in stainless at an AD near me I'm picking up tomorrow. I inquired about the rubber strap and understand that with the clasp can run as much as another 2500. So I'd be 23.3 with tax + another 2.5 or 25.8k all in. I assume there no arb to buy the rubber 5167 then get stainless bracelet, but that would put the stainless bracelet at 6-7k. Not the end of the world either way but random question I figured I'd check. I'll have to post pics of the watch tomorrow my first Patek and am pumped.
Heres why the price increase wont change demand for 5711 & 5712
Prior to the price increase, the 5711A and 5712A were the two least expensive watches in the Nautilus line. After the price increase... they still are.Although the Aquanaut is a fine watch and has a loyal following, it is a very different watch than a Nautilus. Very few people are going to get a 5167 or 5164 over either the 5711 or 5712 because of the price increase. I find it hard to believe that people favored a 5712 over a 5164 just because it was $2,000 cheaper before, but won't now that it is $4,000 more. For a watch in the $33,000 - $39,000 range, people are going to buy what they like (or can get), not which one saves them a few thousand dollars. For the 5711, which watch would you prefer over it for $29,000 that you didn't prefer over it for $24,000? Within the Patek lineup, only a couple of Calatravas fall in between those two price points. For a 5712, which watch would you prefer over it for $39,000 that you didn't for $33,000?
