Close-Up: Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon
To accompany its highly successful Dark Side of the Moon collection, Omega launched the Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon last year. Fashioned from ceramic and platinum, the watch features several design elements that distinguish it from other Omega watches. The watch’s look is inspired by the lunar dust that captured the footprints of the Apollo astronauts in the iconic images beamed back to Earth. When creating this watch, Omega had to employ a special process to capture the color of the lunar surface. The ceramic material starts out white, but it takes on the required darker hue in a high-temperature plasma furnace. Exposed to a proprietary mix of gasses at a temperature of 36,000 degrees Fahrenheit for three hours, the ceramic emerges in a shimmering grey. This unique ceramic is used to create the case, caseback, bezel, crown, pushers and buckle of this 44.25-mm timepiece. In another first for Omega, the engraved tachymetric scale on the bezel is filled with Super-Lum

Proper Introduction for the New Arrival
When Tudor introduced the black bay black bezel in October, I was certain that was going to be my next watch. I figured it would be a great weekend watch that I could wind and throw on and a great value. I've wanted a watch with a vintage throwback feel to it for awhile and have gone back and forth on watches like the Tudor Heritage Chrono, the Omega Mark II, and most recently the Black Bay. About a month ago, my eyes started wandering towards something else: the Chronomat Airborne. I knew if I was going to replace my Govberg LE Chronomat that this was going to be the one, but the question was when that would actually happen. One thing I liked about the Govberg edition was the brushed finish and how it toned everything down. Even with the polished Airborne, the brushed bezel still tones down the bling factor. The Govberg edition also comes with the display back but the Airborne does have a pretty cool caseback as well. The one thing I didn't have in my collection was a chronogr
Omega Planet Ocean 2201.50 Checking in
I just love the new look of Omegas. I believe that they have improved tremendously over the years... too bad they are following the foot steps of Rolex with the yearly price increase. This is a New to me PO 2500C. I like this better than the new ceramics.. best bang for the buck divers IMHO
Best Modern Rolex to compliment LVc
So my only Rolex is an LVc (Luckily purchased back in April) and was wondering what the best compliment would be. I'm currently thinking D-Blue or BLNR. I would really want a Black D500 Daytona, but I don't want to pay over MSRP for this purchase. Also liked a DJ41, Blue dial, Flutted, Jubilee, Sticks, but haven't tried one on before, also at age 34, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a DJ. Also, have a Speedy and Breitling SuperOcean II. Pics for reference, lol.
