As part of its “Hublot Loves Football” campaign, the Hublot watch company ? enlisted Swiss photographer Fred Merz to snap portraits of soccer legends of today and yesteryear, with each one featuring both a Hublot watch and the brand’s World Cup symbol, a soccer ball painted and decorated by Brazilian artist Romero Britto.Merz traveled far and wide to produce the series, which features Hublot watch “ambassadors” and “friends of the brand” from the world of international soccer, aka football. For example, the acknowledged “King of Football,” Pel��, was filmed in a fashionable Ipanema Hotel in Rio, while “The Special One,” current Chelsea coach Jos�� Mourinho, was photographed in a shadowy basement during a visit to the Hublot watch manufacture in Nyon, Switzerland. Trying to buy a 5170 -- what am I doing wrong?
I'm in the market for a new 5170G-010, the white gold / black dial version with Breguet numerals that Patek stopped making last year. Even though discontinued, they seem to be abundantly in stock at both ADs and grey market dealers.I'd prefer to go the AD route, but it seems none in the US or Europe are willing to discuss much of a discount (a couple thousand dollars off at most). For a $81,000 MSRP slow-selling watch, I'm surprised I cannot get better traction anywhere. The grey market dealers are selling for ~25% off.Maybe the problem is that I'm not an existing customer? In my ideal scenario, I'd locate a watch in Europe, negotiate a 20-30% discount and then benefit from the VAT refund when having the watch shipped to the U.S.Can anyone provide any feedback or advice? Maybe my expectations for AD discounts are simply unrealistic and I should go grey market?

I have not seen an owners club for Panerai on this forum.Is there one?If not, why not? We all seem to take a lot of pride in our watches.What image would you want as a .gif or jpeg to have as a signature? I would personally choose one of Traveller's photos, or HDHUNTER's or Aboen's 372 or Nishant's 305 or Takuya's 233 or or or so many to chose from.Anyway, if someone wants to donate a photo, we can have a little image with some text on it to include in our sigs like the Submariner Owners club I have in mine.Just a thought.Cheers! AD had 0 SS sport models
So today I went to my AD hoping that I can get my hands on a 116610LV, the guy said sorry, sir. we don't have any but you can put your name on the waiting list and wait for a month or so. and the price? $9,466. they didn't even have 114060, sub date, gmt, BLNR. needless to say I put my name and hopefully will get a call in 2 weeks or so.
