Tissot Introduces a Regulateur, a Hand-Winder and a Silicon Hairspring at Baselworld 2016
Baselworld 2016 felt a bit quieter and calmer than previous years. Brands released fewer items, and most generally played it safer than years before. If these were signs of an economic down turn, you wouldn’t know it from Tissot, who had 240 new models (including all variants). In fact, Tissot is at the top of their game right now, saturating the European market and securing a position as the NBA’s official time keeper in the US. This year, they showed us a lot of great stuff, too much to show you here. So we chose three cool, different and high value pieces that will be coming out this year. Enjoy.Le Locle RegulateurTissot's Le Locle series is an undeniable bestseller for the brand. It's not hard to see why; the line boasts an impressive blend of elegant styling and quality construction at an attractive price point, making it immediately appealing for customers across different segments. For Baselworld 2016, Tissot announced their latest addition to the ever-growing Le Loc
Opinions on the Speedmaster Professional
This watch has been in the back of my mind for a long time. I know there are some here that own the manual speedmaster professionals. Do you wish you had gone to a broad arrow or to one of the other speedmasters that are automatic and have a date on it or has a sapphire crystal?I am drawn to it for the history and the fact is is a great looking watch. What are your experiences?
Nautilus advice please
Morning world. I am only a few days into owning the 5712 and I am amazed with it. Absolutely beautiful. I just wanted advice on the bracelet from other owners please. I have previously favoured Rolex sports watches, the glidelock and old GMT straps are perfect as I get hot in the house and then cold when out in the English weather. I got the strap sized at the AD fairly tight thinking I was very hot, but in the house or office it still seems quite tight and the crown tends to irritate a little. Shall I get a link added back in or I believe they do a 1.5 or 1.25? It's just the AD is a good 2 hours away so not in the doorstep. When my wrist is normal it seems perfect but if I say do a press up position with my wrist the crown digs in and it does seem to nip my hairy wrist quite a bit. Thanks in advance. Andy. My new 372
This is my new PAM372 which I have bought used. It's a November 2016 model in great condition. It has the plexiglass which was a must have for me as I love the warm refractive index of plexiglass over the sapphire crystal fitted on the new 2017 models. It's pretty big on my wrist but I think it works and that's difficult to convey in photos. I love the vintage qualities of this watch - the 1950's cushion case, the so called dirty dial. It's big but highly elegant and stylish with bags of military chic. I have an aftermarket strap fitted for now. The watch came with the extra plexiglass but not the original straps. I'm getting Richard at Toshi to make me a couple of nice straps and I also fancy the Panerai calf assolutamente fitted on the current model. I'll post some photos from my Tapatalk app.
NEW Arrival!!!
Just picked this up on Saturday I have been wanting to get another Panerai with in house movement and YES a date complication, not traditional but I really needed it for my day to day routine.I have had it on since picking it up and I never thought I would get a 47mm case model but it just sang to me when I tried it on and I could not shake it from my head. I am very happy I got this and look forward to wearing it for a long time.Paneristi for life.
