Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Contemporain Watch With Titanium Dial
Greubel Forsey is probably one of, if not the first name that comes to mind when one talks about companies specializing in tourbillons. The company is almost obsessed with this mechanism and is adamant that it really does improve chronometric performance. Even their competition and other selective watchmakers freely admit their work is top notch. If you are skeptical, know that their Double Tourbillon Technique watch won the 2011 International Chronometry Competition held by the Le Locle Museum of Horology. Hence, the tourbillon(s) in their watches are definitely not for show.To be honest, the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Contemporain is not new, and is?derived from the earlier Invention Piece 3. Ariel had the chance to handle it a year ago and was blown away by its blue dial. Indeed, the "royal blue" dial is a work of art, and according to Greubel Forsey, they took a very long time to perfect the color. AP Diver on Brown Hornback -PICS - as requested by PSV + TSW
As requested by Patrick (PSV) and Thomas (TSW)....I finally got round to doing this. Took the hornback of the Safari and stuck it on the Diver...I have to say I'm quite enjoying the look. The contrasting colours give the watch a very different look - and the quality of the hornback adds a nice touch. Very comfortable onMakes me want a black hornback even more...and a bracelet of courseWhat do you guys reckon?
Pre moon question
Hello.I was wondering what would be a decent price to pay for a 1967 Speedy, with 321 movt. The case and movt. are from 67 but the dial, bezel, crystal, crown and pushers are new. What would you pay for something like this?
Seeing Seamasters !
Of all the vintage omega lines, i would say semasters are the most underated. I think 1950's seamasters are the peak of the range for my eyes, and you can still pick up a near mint one for around $400 with a LOT of time spent searching through ebay. This one is amongst the very first bumper semasters from 1950, cal 351.. bought for $400. Next to it is a younger brother from the late 1950'si think they make the perfect affordable dress watch
