My AD is holding a 5711 White dial for a few days for me. I have a 5711 Blue on the way. I will probably have it this year. Overkill??????

The amount of hand finishing with the 5167...
Whether it's Patek, AP, IWC or VC, they often release really awesome ad/videos where we typically see the manufacture highlighting their craftsmanship and human touch to the creation of their watches... However, these brands only ever highlight this with super high end complication pieces vs the entry level pieces like a 5167...With that said, I decided to write Patek to inquire on how much hand finishing and love is put into a basic model like the Aquanaut.. I received a rather prompt response and figured I would share it with the rest of you in case you were curious!A lot ask how can Patek charge so much for a 3-hander, or such a simple model? ... No Talk About 532 Here...
There has been a bunch of talk about the 532 in other forums, but not much here since it was first announced several months ago. It looks like they are starting to hit the boutiques now. Retail price in the US is $12,600.What do folks think about it the watch? I have read mixed feedback about it, but I personally like the watch a lot. Just about the only critical feedback I have read that I agree with is that the price is a bit high...I really like the black coating on the watch and I also like the PIG on the dial... I called and asked to be put on a list in a few boutiques... I hope I get the call!

Where are the Subs, Batman��s, and Hulks?
I just spoke with the person I deal with at my AD and asked if there was a shortage on these models. He assured me there is not and it's just the time of the year before Baselworld and Rolex has not shipped. He explains if all hype by Gray market dealers to run up price. I thanked him and asked him in the next email if he had any Subs, Batman's, or Hulks in stock and he said no, not right now, there's a list. Now that was funny.
