Baselworld 2015: The Movado 1881 Collection
At Baselworld this year, Movado showed its all-new collection of men’s automatic watches. The 1881 Automatic Collection combines familiar Movado design characteristics with elements of the brand’s revamped look C all with a reliable Swiss movement inside. The 1881 Automatic is a three-hand watch with a date display at 6 o’clock. It has the spare, stark appeal that has characterized Movado ever since the “Museum” watch became the centerpiece of the brand in the 1980s. That watch, and those that followed it, were defined by the prominent concave dot at 12 o’clock. In recent years, Movado has moved beyond this completely minimalist design to incorporate some other elements on the dial. The 1881 Automatic is a good example of this: it has a subdued minutes track, which has been stamped on the dial, and applied hour indexes. The dial is divided into an inner section and an outer ring. The interior has a sunray finish; outside of this is a “reflector r

Introducing The Tissot T-Lord Automatic Small Seconds For 2011: This Watch Is A Winner, And Only $975
Say hello the best looking Tissot since the Visodate 1957. This Basel 2011 release has gone completely unnoticed by, well, pretty much everybody and it wasn't until we saw the collection yesterday in New York that it caught our eye.? The Tissot T-Lord small second and date is fantastic looking, uses a really great movement, and the price is more than reasonable.? This watch is a sure-fired winner in our book. The T-Lord line from Tissot has been around for a while as part of the T-Classic collection, but something about the dial design - probably the use of two roman numeral markers at 12 and 6- prevented it from becoming a fan fan favorite.? But, the dial has been redesigned for 2011 and it is absolutely killer.?Sized at 40mm in diameter and only 9.9mm thick, the new T-Lord automatic with small seconds makes for a perfect formal watch to wear with a jacket to the office.? Inside the Tissot is a high-grade ETA 2895-2 movement and while there is a bevy of T-Lord watches to choose from, t

Questions on Bulk Rolex Order
Long story short, I'm considering at buying 7 of either the WG Oysterflex Daytona (ref. 116519LN) or the WG blue Submariner (ref. 116619LB) (and no, they wouldn't all be for me...). The first question I had was on pricing - it seems like 20% on PM models is fairly standard, but do you think it would be reasonable to shoot for more given the quantity that I'm buying? Also, I've wanted the SS Daytonas for quite a while and think it would be reasonable to ask to get both a white and black dial within a reasonably short timeframe (a few months). I haven't yet discussed this with the AD, but they know that I want a Daytona and said that an order like this would move me higher on the list. This sort of response shocked me a bit -- I feel like asking for both, let alone just one, in this scenario isn't that ridiculous, but I wanted to hear what you all thought. Thanks!EDIT: They don't have these in stock, but said they could order pretty easily with delivery in ~2 months.
