RG 44 at an Italian
I haven't worn my RG 44 that much this year so I decided to wear it to a nice Italian trattoria, for the first real carbs I've eaten this year. Food was great, we had bubbling hot lasagne, mushroom tortellini but the best was a delicious gooey chocolate brownie with salted caramel and chocolate sauce! There's been a couple of sales of the RG here recently but I can gladly say I loved wearing the watch and it still looks magnificent and it is going nowhere.
Aerospace Evo question
Hey guys, I was wondering what the EOL indicator does on the aerospace watch. Does it beep or flash? Just curious as I can't find anything on the internet. Thanks :)
Sometimes you just get lucky!
A while ago, I decided that I wanted another Moonwatch, having flipped one a few months ago. Not just any Moonwatch, though - an early to mid-90's late tritium dial, perfect case and complete package. The tritium would need to be dark, and everything about it pristine.I thought that I'd have a pretty long wait because I really am a fussy sod when it comes to my watches; anyone who's bought one from me will probably testify to that. What I wasn't expected was to find the precise watch I was looking for almost immediately. Not only that, but a watch with 100% provenance, having been owned by a member of TZ-UK's father for five years from new, and then by the seller himself until he decided to let it go. I bought it barely daring to hope that it was the watch I was looking for, but it arrived today and it really is... perfect. A reference 3590.50 from 1995, with the loveliest dial I've seen on a Speedy. In fact, it's the loveliest Moonwatch I've seen.Enjoy the photos...
Jewel Shop in Santa Monica
I'm just popping over from the Rolex side of the forums to let you Omega-eans know that Tony at the Jewel Shop in Santa Monica, California, talked me up a little last night and even gave me an Omega 2007 catalog (0.75 inches thick!). They have a lot of stock in there (Omega, Baume et Mercier, Tag, Mont Blanc) and business appears to be slow. On my way out, he offered to deal on price without me even hinting that I wanted to buy anything. So, if you are in the market for an Omega (alas, I am not, tho they are pretty), you may wish to give Tony a chance. All best,MarkJewel Shop1353 Third Street PromenadeSanta Monica, CA 90401310-451-1113Tony
Most Sold PP Men's Model vs Apparent Forum Favorite?
Hi Guys,One thing about this discussion Forum is that I get the idea the Aquanaut and Nautilus Pateks appear to be Forum Favorites, as I seem to see more thread topics on these than anything else.Does anyone know if this is reflected in what Men's watch PP sells the most of? Curious if our Forum posters are representative of male PP Buyers, or a highly addicted subgroup, hehehe!Me, I own my PP 5146r, a yg Omega SpeedMaster Date, an Omega Co-Axial Escapement Chronometer Limited Edition in rose gold, and a Panerai PAM 423.
