My PO 42mm
I'm in love with my latest purchase. I had originally wanted a Rolex Seadweller. Truth be told it was a bit of a stretch at the moment and after trying on a few they left me feeling a bit cold. I stumbled across this beauty and can't believe how good it is in the flesh. The crystal is almost impossible to see, such is the quality of the AR and the overall build quality has blown me away. I have a Speedmaster Moonwatch already and this feels significantly more well engineered. Ok it's not got the cult classic reputation the speedy enjoys and is a completely different style of watch but I'm very very happy with this purchase. The display back particularly attracted me to the watch and I believe the movement is held I particular high regard (8500) co axial. Without rambling on too much, here are some pictures. It's a 42mm.
speedy auto
Can someone give me a short explanation of why the Speedmaster automatics seem to have such a lower regard, technically, than the Speedy Pro's? I recognize the historical advantage that the SP's have. Thanks.
White Gold 3919-G hold value?
I understand no one has crystal ball, but how well do you think a White Gold with Hobnail Bezel and seconds hand Calatrava 3919-G will hold its value in future? They can still be had for slightly under $10k, since they are not produced anymore, will prices continue to rise or doubtful?I want one in future since I really really like it, but if prices are pretty sure to rise I may just pick up now as they are not produced anymore.Chuck
Best of two worlds: luxury and comfort = Rolex Daytona WG 116519 Oysterflex
Hello folks!Last Friday I was able to buy from my AD, with whom I have a very good relationship, the Basel 2017 released model Daytona 116519LN on Oysterflex and white gold.First of all I want to say to you that unfortunately the iPhone pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the dial of this watch. I had before a Bluesy 116613 and a Rhodium dial DJ41, both with sunburst dials but I can tell you that the beauty of this steel looking dial is something special. This dial, which looks like brand new spare parts for high-end racing cars, on a Daytona model makes the best combo I have seen so far.I wanted to buy a PM model, I was looking for a Daytona as I am a racing fan, but I also wanted to have the comfort of the Oysterflex and not the PCL of a normal Oyster bracelet in full PM. I had that type of PCL with both the DJ41 ( Oyster bracelet - fluted bezel ) and the Bluesy and for me personally, especially with the softness of the YG on the Bluesy I wasn't able to cope with all the scrat
