Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grand Prix Watches
This year Audemars Piguet is of the brands releasing a lot of new watches. The most visually exciting of which is this Royal Oak Offshore Grand Prix watch collection. Each is in a limited edition, so these aren't permanent additions to the collection. There are three luxurious versions and I have for you the hands-on experience. Let's start with the basic options. Each has ceramic and lots of forged carbon, but I will get to that in a bit. You have a choice of complimenting it with titanium, 18k pink gold, or platinum. These come in a limited edition of 1750 pieces, 650 pieces, and 75 pieces, respectively. Clearly titanium is going to be the biggest and most affordable seller, and I will explain why.The "new" luxury watch doesn't need to be a giant paper weight. Sure it can be heavy as is typically valued, but lightness is in. Years of giant metal watches have consumers lashing back, not for smaller watches, but for ones that are lighter. Just sayin'
I visited a friend who works in one of those places that sell Rolexes today and he said so far this year they've delivered two DaytonaC's, 1 SD43, two Hulks, two BLNR's, 1 D-blue, and 1 SS Skydweller. Says they're supposed to get more next week too. And regular SubC's, Sub nodates, and black GMT have returned to the case.Guess the SS sports model spigot has been turned back on.
Daytona Differences
Forgive my ignorance but the reason is that I was never interested in the SS Daytona model.I guess it's because it does not have a calendar. But I would like to know the difference between the models 16520 and 116520. And as for the 116500 the ceramic bezel is the only difference? And is it always black?I clarify that the TT and Gold models, if I like them and even the prices, are more reasonable but although sometimes I want to exchange my 116610 for a Daytona SS and Gold I never finish deciding to pay more and also leave my watch Thanks friends.
