Seiko x Giugiaro 30th Anniversary Spirit Smart Watch Is Redo Of Aliens Classic
In 1983 Seiko began a design partnership with Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro that resulted in the production of a few very interesting pieces in the mid 1980s. For 2013 Seiko has begun a re-issue of these timepieces starting with the first model - the Seiko 7A28 6000. We can't say for sure, but we have a feeling more 1980s Giugiaro watches are coming. Giugiaro is most well-known for his automotive designs, including that of the famous DeLorean DMC-12, along with literally dozens and dozens of other cars. For the most part, the watches he designed for Seiko are spectacular and highly indicative of what 1980s futuristic design was all about. It was European, it was modern, and it alluded to a future that seemed to be as frightening as it was exciting. Seiko's Giugiaro watches gained the most fame by being featured in James Cameron's Aliens movie in 1986. Both Sigourney Weaver's character Lt. Ripley and Lance Henriksen's character, the android Bishop, wore Giugiaro designed Seiko wat

Need some help deciding...
Hi all,Thanks for chiming in. I got a call from my AD today about a piece I was kind of on the list for. It is the new moon phase Cellini. I wanted to see this piece in person and decide if I wanted to buy it or not. When I saw it in person today, I really did like the watch. It wore very comfortably. However, here is the issue. I saw an ever rose sky dweller on a strap and it caught my attention as well. When I got home I did some research and found out the sky dweller on a strap could be had for around 25k used which is roughly around the same price for a new moon phase Cellini. Which one would you guys go for? Here are some shots of the watches on my actual wrist. Added a picture of the blue dial ss sky dweller on the bracelet for another opinion! Thanks for looking!
What SS Rolex models can you find at retail?
Curious to see what people can find in their local area or places they have visited recently. For me the Explorer I (almost everywhere), Explorer II (both colors, usually have a black or white if not both), and an Air King (not everywhere but it's not hard to find) are the ones I see. I occasionally see the Deep Sea in Black as well. The blue Milgauss is a bit more uncommon but it can be found but the GV model is pretty much everywhere. The GV doesn't seem to sell all that well as I'll go to the same AD and still see the watch there, while other models rotate as they sell. The Sub was everywhere until fairly recently. I still can't believe that there is a Sub scarcity... Models I've never seen just sitting in an AD are the BLNR, Hulk, SD43 and Daytona (you see the precious metal models everywhere though). Luckily, I've gotten to try all of them as I have a friend who owns a BLNR and another who owns the Hulk. Funny enough, maybe I'm just not paying attention to them, I don't remember s
