New AP...what do you think?
New to the thread. Longtime AP lover. I just picked this up on Thursday, it is technically my 2nd AP. I bought the 44mm stainless the day it came out and loved it as my daily beater for 2 years until 6 months ago I decided to sell to clear up some cash to finish my new house. Right after I purchased mine I bought my wife the new ladies royal oak with diamond bezel(I did not sell hers lol) needles to say I finally got to buy what I consider to be my favorite current AP 44mm. I love the silver dial and contrasting sundials and bezel. Also I noticed a huge difference is the brushing definition on the ceramic bezel. So much deeper then in 2012.
Please talk me out of it.
This Speedy Pro Broadarrow Moonphase is one of my favorite watches to look at in my small collection. The only Chronograph I own, as well as the only moonphase. Problem is - I don't wear it. It's a manual wind, the date / moon are set with a pusher, so whenever the power reserve runs out, it becomes a task to get it up to date. Last time I used a chronograph function, I timed a hard-boiled egg for my daughter - other than that, I have no need for the function. I just love to look at it, as it is an absolutely stunning watch. Perfect size too, nice and thick. I just never wear it.... Such a shame. So, lately I've been thinking about letting it go, so it finds a good home and an owner who actually uses it. Am I nuts? This is the watch (not my pic)
Which would you get, 5164 or 5712 steel?
Hello everyone. I am currently thinking of getting one of these 2 but for the death of me can't make up my mind. I hope one day I can own both but the budget only allows one now.It would definitely help me out if you guys could tell me your thoughts on each watch. Your opinions on them and which you would pick if it came down between the 2. Please tell me why as well.
PAM233 Incoming!
So I've been looking at a bunch of different brands and watches, trying to find something I'd enjoy wearing. Looked at Rolex, JLC, IWC, and Panerai. There are a couple threads with some of the watches I looked at and I appreciate all the feedback I got. The second I put this one on my wrist, I knew it was it. I've always admired the 233 in person and in pics. It's a heck of a watch. Here she is:Quick and dirty pic for now. I hope to eventually post many more pics of this beauty. Love it!Cheers
Deal advice on a new DJII
Since the sport watches I now want aren't easily available without paying a steep premium (BLNR, Hulk, Daytona), I'm thinking about adding a DJ to the collection. It'll also be a nice new piece to round out my 16710 Pepsi and 116613LB Sub.Spoke to an AD who is offering 20% off brand new DJII since he has a bunch of DJ41's in stock now. The DJII is white dial, fluted bezel, which is a combo I'm fond of.Is this a good deal? I'm not as familiar with the market on the DJ so looking for advice. Thanks guys!
