Bring a Loupe: Two Tri-Compax From Universal Geneve, A Great Longines 30CH, And A Very Rare Rolex
This week's Bring A Loupe will offer you a combination of vintage chronographs and dress watches from Longines, Rolex, and Vacheron Constantin. And because you usually love Universal Geneve chronos, today you will actually find two of them! This is your Bring A Loupe for October 16, 2015. A Chronograph From Longines With The Famous 30CH Movement, Reference 6651 1 OF 12 The 30CH from Longines belongs to the small group of mythical chronograph movements, along with its predecessor, the 13ZN – the first flyback movement developed for a wristwatch back in the 1930s. The 30CH was produced until the mid-1960s, which makes this 1967 chronograph one of the last manufactured. The dial and luminous numerals display the kind of patina that make vintage watches so sexy. AP info
Hello everyone got a few questions, if use would be so kind to answer Think I'm getting a 15710 diver soon and wanted to know where it ranks in the AP line up ? I don't know much about APs if it was Rolex I would know right away the sub is iconic and will always hold its value etc etc. So wanting some more info from use AP guys.Is the 42 diver not as sought after as the 44s ?What is re sale value like are they soft ? Been recommended to look at the 44 ROO but I think 42 is big enough for me and if I'm honest I've just never been a fan of chronograph watches in general.

Let me start first!
PP 5296G-001 vs. Lange 1815 Up/Down
hey everyone, i've recently started looking for a watch that falls in between the pure dress and pure sports watch categories...preferably in a light colored dial given the other pieces in my collection. I have the following two pieces on order from my AD to try out, and was hoping to get your feedback before they come in. Obviously its a question of personal taste and how they will ultimately fit and feel on my wrist, but wanted to get some opinions. I've narrowed it down to the Patek 5296G-001 and the Lange 1815 Up/Down, which also happen to be similarly priced. Other suggestions would be appreciated.

The worst things about strap addiction...10. Being able to guess the strap maker from pics9. Looking at materials around you and thinking that'd make a good strap8.
