Festina Profundo Dive Watch Comes In Bag Filled With Water
There is marketing and then there is brilliant marketing. Go shopping for watches and you may find yourself discovering a new goldfish bowl. The large Spanish watch group Festina (and brand of course) has recently started putting water-filled clear plastic bags on shelves with the newest versions of their Profudno dive watches in them. This isn't the first time a watchmaker has put a water resistant watch actually in water, but as far as we know it has never before been done like this. The brilliant concept is thanks to a Berlin-based agency called Scholz & Friends."Profundo" translates from Spanish into "deep." While these watches aren't deep under water, the message here is that they can stay in water for apparently very long lengths of time and be perfectly OK to be removed from the bag and be put on your wrist. General thoughts on the 3970
Curious what people think of the 3970. It is by no means as illustrious as it's younger brother the 5970. But curious what people think of it in comparison to the 5270, 5970, 2499, 1518 ect....in some ways I feel like it's the black sheep of the family and the least desirable. The reason I ask is I feel it's amazing, the movement is great as we all know. The piston style pushers I prefer, the diameter and lugs and overall case is gorgeous. I realize there are a LOT of them out there and a lot were produced. Even white metal black dial...Thanks

Power reserve question
So i have a explorer 2 and a year ago i tested it and got 46 plus hours of reserve from it. And a couple weeks ago i tested it and got a bunch of diff results from 34 37 40 41 and 45 hours being the longest i do not wear my watch but maybe three times a month due to others being in the rotation. Do you think this is ok ? And this is simply winding it 45 to 50 times and letting it sit.it seems to go up each time but now stays around 40 to 42 hours.
