Watch Insider Previews the New Chopard Superfast 919 Porsche Motorsport Chronograph
Recently I attended the Ennstal-Classic, a historical sports car rally in Austria, and while there had the chance to see the new Chopard Superfast 919 Porsche Motorsport Chronograph, a watch I like very much. Check it out (including specs and original photos) in this article, excerpted from my blog, Watch-Insider.Many well-known motorsport legends attended the Ennstal-Classic a festive gathering of historical car lovers, photographers and autograph-hunters this year. Amongst them were Sir Stirling Moss, Walter R?hrl, Dieter Quester, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Jo Ramirez, and “Mister Le Mans Jacky Ickx. Ickx is a longtime ambassador for Porsche automobiles and recently become an ambassador for the entire Volkswagen Group. He is also a close friend of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard. And it is a blending of these two big personalities that gave birth to the new Chopard Superfast 919 Porsche Motorsport Chronograph.?The recent partnership agreement between Chopard and
Is the 15450 big enough?
Hi guys, finally joined the AP owners club. When researching I was torn between 39mm and 37mm. My wrists are only 6.5 but I read a lot of people being a little bit down on the 15450.It's true that the 39mm has some historical importance and I did want one for that reason, but getting the right size for the wrist is so important in my view. For me, the 15450 is perfect. So if you're a chap with smallish wrists, then forget the stigma attached to the number 37 and buy with confidence.
Novelty question from an AP rookie
I always figured I would add a royal oak to my collection at some point, but I was all set that my next watch would be the Glashutte chronograph. Then I saw the new AP grey dial (novelty). I've been wanting a nice gray dial for a while, and I can see me loving this watch forever. I searched this forum and couldn't find too much general info on AP novelties. I assume these will be produced in limited number? How many years are they generally in production? Can I expect a big price jump?Big thanks to everyone that can provide some knowledge
Gotta Love the Speedies
Especially the Apollo Soyuz ,has anybody else got one of these?I got mine May 2010, and love it to bits but does anyone think much to them? They seemed to hang around a bit in the AD's but i dont see that many come up for sale now.I have an 80's speedmaster and that looks fantastic, im a big fan of Speedmaster and most of the Ltd Editions, thogh tried an Alaska Prject on which i had wanted for a while, wasnt my cup of tea which i was a bit disappointed about.Would love to see other peoples Speedies!
