Normal Bezel VS Ceramic Bezel
Hello forum!Have been wondering how strong is the Omega Planet Oceans bezel..Is it hard to scratch it? I am asking this question becouse it seems that there is a major hype right now called the CERAMICS (PO Liquid Metal), which they claim it is Scratch proof!I am pretty active, so it kind of scares me when i hear that brands want to turn their bezels stronger, as it seems they use to scratch easily. Please let me hear some comments from your experience. Are the new ceramics a big deal, or you can stick with a normal one without complaining on scratches?Thank you, once again, for your time!
Heres why the price increase wont change demand for 5711 & 5712
Prior to the price increase, the 5711A and 5712A were the two least expensive watches in the Nautilus line. After the price increase... they still are.Although the Aquanaut is a fine watch and has a loyal following, it is a very different watch than a Nautilus. Very few people are going to get a 5167 or 5164 over either the 5711 or 5712 because of the price increase. I find it hard to believe that people favored a 5712 over a 5164 just because it was $2,000 cheaper before, but won't now that it is $4,000 more. For a watch in the $33,000 - $39,000 range, people are going to buy what they like (or can get), not which one saves them a few thousand dollars. For the 5711, which watch would you prefer over it for $29,000 that you didn't prefer over it for $24,000? Within the Patek lineup, only a couple of Calatravas fall in between those two price points. For a 5712, which watch would you prefer over it for $39,000 that you didn't for $33,000? Within the Patek lineup, only a 5164, a couple of
Most sought after Luminor in the current collection?
Is there a Luminor reference which is clearly the most coveted model, like for instance 15202 to AP, or 5711 to PP?
Service: RSC or AD with in house capability
I'm thinking of servicing my yachtmaster and perhaps others after 13 years of ownership. The AD, Benari in Exton, PA I recently landed an SD43 from has in house capabilities. I'd kinda prefer to use them as I feel my salesman Joel is quite knowledgeable and and great to deal with and feel like I can give detail direction plus i think it would be turned around quicker. My sense is that if I bring to NYC they will tend to do what they think needs to be done and decide on their own. Am I way off? This would be a trial run for my Kermit as it scares me to send it in and have them switch the bezel, all though it's in great shape, or something I didn't direct them to do like maybe polish it. My yatchmaster and Kermit are running great but feel it may be time for a preemptive general tune up. I guess I'm due but part of me also thinks why mess with it and the expense. I would like a polish and spa treatment on my YM though and hence my desire to send it in. So I'm looking for general thou
