Stienbeck Kamerawerk Camera Watch From 1949
Still in Japan now, but I need to keep up the blogging else my loyal readers may violently demand I continue to write. I miss being at the computer, no worries about long pauses in content. While on my trip a reader pointed out this eBay auction for an interesting piece of watch and photographic history. It is the Stienbeck Kamerawerk A-B-C Camera watch from 1949. A fully functional worn on the wrist made over 50 years ago. I will republish a bit from the auction details to give you some of the nuts and bolts of this interesting item the banks on our love of spy gear, watches, and what looks to be a bit of the ol' steampunk aesthetic.I would call it a spy camera watch, but it was not meant to look like a regular watch. It was just a special wrist mounted camera that looked a lot like a watch. While it is hard to find the right film for it, it was made so that film from regular 35mm rolls of film could be used to make film for it. The watch for sale should still work, and is certainly a

scratch on sapprire crystal
Hi guys, I just scratched my sapphire crystal on my 127. It's a small scratch, but a scar on my heart...Now I have googled and seen that you can remove it with diamond paste, but not to do it if you have an anti-reflective coating. Does the 127 have an anti reflective coating? Can't find any info on it?Thx
DD2 vs DD40
When it comes to Rolex watches I've always been drawn more towards the professional sports models as opposed to the day date. One of the reasons why I really liked the DD 2 was because it looked more like like a dressy but still sports watch. I think the reason was because of the particular design and dimensions of the case That made it look sporty But with the day date 40 That doesn't look sporty That lookslike a dress watch. That was one of the reasons why they discontinued the DD2 and replaced with DD40 Because people didn't like the dimensions of the DD2 when compared to DD36?I was just wondering what everybody preferred in terms of a DD40 vs DD2 and Why?
