Cartier Rotonde Small Complication Watches Now In Steel
The world of Cartier has a range of timepiece levels. This includes the brand's "Classics," which represent their more mainstream watches with relatively simple movements, the "Fine Watchmaking" arena of much higher-end complications and haute horology, and finally, the middle area of "Small Complications." This is "small," as opposed to "grand," in the arena of timepieces, where the latter refers to what is much more complex and, of course, expensive. What we can find in the Cartier Rotonde Small Complication watches might be considerable value, especially with the new Rotonde de Cartier watches in steel. Not all of these models seen here are brand new, but as we understand it, the steel models are. What you see are two types of Cartier Rotonde Small Complication watch models, with either a date and power reserve indicator, or the more favored big date, dual time, day/night indicator with subsidiary seconds models. So let's focus on that latter line of models which is formally called t
Best Daily Wearer Omega for Me
Help me settle the epic battle in my head. Which watch is the best daily wear candidate. I wear a suit every day. Casual on the weekends. I'm also a multi strap guy so I'll have plenty of different shoes to wear with each. Please no outside suggestions. The choice is simple. My wrists are 7.5 so I think both sizes wear fine. That isn't an issue for me. This is all about the look. Business and casual. 41.5mm Aqua Terra 8500Or. 44mm Speedmaster CoaxialImageUploadedByTapatalk1370882758.341476.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1370882770.040214.jpg
My modern "Grail" Speedmaster: 1957 50th Anniversary
Not technically the Pro Moonwatch since it doesn't have the 861/1861/etc. Lemania movement, but this is my Grail modern steel Speedmaster that still maintains much of the Moonwatch look and tradition, with a special manual-winding movement.Retail on this is pretty nuts - in the $12K range, I believe - but it can be had at substantial discounts. There is a mint example for sale on here right now for $7K complete from a trusted seller. I love the enamelled dial with pre-Moon vintage text and OMEGA logo, and the column-wheel, high-beat (28k bph), Co-Axial movement is stunning and silky smooth. The bracelet is also the newest ref. 957 with screw links and vintage logo clasp. It's not for everybody, especially the price tag, but I got a terrific deal on this one and have wanted it since it was first announced. I was looking for cal 321 pre-Moons, but all that are reasonably priced are pretty beaten up (by my standards), and I don't think that I can live with the lower beat rate. Next up is
