Help with future purchase
Hi guys,I'm a new member to the forum and figured that this would be a wonderful place to get some good opinions on a future watch purchase that I am considering making. The two watches that I am going back and forth between are the Rolex GMT Master 2 116710BLNR (Batman) and the Audemars Piguet 15450ST.I love the look of both of these watches but I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to weigh out the pros and cons.
The value of an Omega
Does Omega keep its value like Rolex, Vacheron, AP do? I have heard and read many articles stating that they do, but I wanted to know what the experts in TRF have to say about it.
Incoming 5170G
So my initial plan was to go for a 5170P when it was released at baselworld this year. Despite it being a great looking watch, the diamonds were just not to my taste. So, i ended up going with my next favorite 5170, the discontinued white dial version. I was lucky enough to find one sealed, and went for it. Hard to capture the dial with my iphone - it looks very white / washed out / boring in most pics, but it is just perfect in the metal. managed to take a quick shot this morning...
5131 vs 5970
Dear All,The market values of 5970 and 5131 are currently similar.I understand that they are two completely different time pieces. But from a collector's point of view, which one is more desirable if you are interested to both and you can only choose one?Thank you very much for your opinion.Best, Henry
Best tool to remove links
Hi All,Looking for suggestions on a tool to remove links. I find that the standard tools can easily scratch the watch/bracelet. Any recommendations?
