Basel Preview: Blancpain Half Time Zone Watch
Blancpain previews its first Villeret Demi-Fuseau Horaire: a travel watch that allows the second time zone to be set in half-hour increments. We are all familiar with the standard 24 time zones that differ by one hour, but many countries, including India, Australia and Canada also use half-hour or “offset” time zones. Find specs and wallpaper for this new model from Blancpain inside. Blancpain’s new dual time zone model is very user friendly. A few turns of the crown adjusts the date, reference or home time, and second time zone. A co-axial pusher on the crown selects fast adjustment or half time zone mode. Correcting the home time automatically adjusts the second time zone. This watch is powered by a new 32mm automatic caliber 5254DF with 321 parts, 28 jewels, and a 72 hour power reserve. The reference time is displayed at 12 o’clock and the half time zone and seconds are displayed in the center. the day-night indicator for the reference time is displayed at 9 o

Swirlies and hairline scratches on polished WG case
I know the answer to this question before even asking it, but I want to know all of your thoughts on swirls and hairline scratches on a brand new PP in the AD case. Other than getting the watch factory sealed it seems as though anything that is displayed at an AD will have that plastic or tape wrap over the case. But once a pair of human hands handles a highly polished PP case it seems as though it gets the micro scratches. Would this bother anyone in the slightest when purchasing a new watch? Obviously demanding a new factory sealed references isn't always an option. Is this just how it goes when handling these highly polished pieces? Besides I would guess I would get the same scratches on it during the first few days of ownership.
A Guy and a gal, A 16013 and a 6917 (True Love Story) with pics!!
Just in time for Valentine's Day .. A love story about a man and a woman, and two Rolex watches. The year is 1979. A young couple has been married for a couple of years already, but they acted as if they were still on their honeymoon. The young man was a car dealer, and the young lady was unemployed, because she was with child This young couple loved each other very much. In fact, neither of knew that it was possible to love another person as much as they loved each other. The young couple were married and starting on building their lives and their family together. One evening in 1979 the young lady looked at her young husband and said the two words that both scared and excited them. She said it's time! The husband rushed his beautiful young wife to the car and sped her to the hospital where she was taken in and prepared for delivery. While in the delivery room the young husband paced the floor until he would get tired of pacing, and then he'd sit down and stare off into nothing with o
Who Loves Rolex Blue?
Lately, I have been drooling over the blue WG Sub. I've always liked the blue Pelagos, too, and have occasional thoughts of picking one up.Do the GMT BLNR and BLRO have the same blue color on the bezel as the Sub?The blue dial SkyDweller and DJ41 are also gorgeous, as well as having the latest and greatest movements. The blue dial 39 OP is nice, however the green hour accents mar it for me.
