New Omega (AD) 3603 movement-Disappointed!
Purchased my Speedmaster Solar Impulse from an AD less than two weeks ago, and while looking at it last night was dismayed to see the minute chronograph hand (in the 30-minute dial) sticking at 28 minutes. I reset the stop watch functions twice and did the same thing. On the third time, the dial finally went past 28 and has been functioning well...so far. What gives, Omega??? Never had any problems with my hand-wound Rolex and automatic Rolex watches, although none of them are Daytonas. The Daytona is somewhat small for my wrist--which is why I went with the 44.25mm Speedmaster. My confidence in Omega is starting to dwindle. The watch will probably go to Omega for warranty work.
Speedmaster bracelet differences question
Folks, I'm looking into a Speedy Pro or Speedy Date at the moment (yes I know, get the Pro! lol, but I might not). My question is about the different bracelet clasps I'm finding. There are some watches whose bracelets have the more modern (I think) small clasp, vs. bracelets with the longer buckle style, which from pictures appears to be about 1 long. Do the bracelet differences denote period of production, and is one nicer/better, in the view of Speedy fans? Thanks.
Owners Manual Changes?
Just noticed that my manual for my 5711 is for several different movements where as all my other manuals are specific to the calibre in that particular watch i purchased. Is this new or are all 5711 books like this? Here is both my 5711 and 5712 manuals... as you can see the one on top covers multiple watches and movements and is no longer specific to the Nautilus. Where as the 5712 manual only covers that single movement.
5235G Any Updates?
This piece definitely has me intrigued. There was a great write up previously on here, but I am wondering if anyone knows if this has been released yet or when it may become available? Also, Is this an application piece? (These pics are not mine. I googled and saved the images)
