Frederique Constant Maxime Manufacture Watch Collection At Basel + Video
Frederique Constant has something to be proud about. At the very least it should be something?that is exiting to fine watch consumers. While not the only company to offer relatively low cost in-house made movements, their new Maxine Manufacture Collection watches are beautifully made and feature a totally in-house made Swiss movement for under 2000 Euros. Typically the cost for in-house made manufacture movements is much higher.The new movement is the FC-700 automatic, and is the accumulation of over three years of development. What surprises me is the look and feel of the movement. The focus on aesthetics in the layout of the elements (such as the placement of the balance wheel) is complimented by a level of decoration not expected at these modest price points. The gold rotor, perlage and other polishing, and use of blue screws makes viewing the movement a pleasure. I'm trying to pick between the Black Dial 15400 ST or 15400 OR with Black Alligator strap. I'll ise either of these as a dress watch. Any input is great appreciated! Thanks in advance

Openworked 15407 in Steel Boutique Only?
Hi,I've put a deposit with the boutique for this watch; but now wondering if I can source if outside of the boutique? Also, does the boutique ever give any discounts? I've always sourced my watches outside but thought I'd go boutique for this one for faster access.What do you think?Cheers.

the 5980R incoming
Hi all, The 5980r has arrived yesterday, I have to say i really love this reference, the brown dial compliments the strap so well, it wears more substantial than the SS model, and more presence on the wrist than the 5712r. I have seriously thought about the 5980 full gold, but i think the R on strap suits my lifestyle way better. I now own both 1/A and R in different metals, not sure if they can coexist in one collection given they share the same chorno movement? would the 5711/1R be a better option to replace the 1/A?Here are some snaps to share with you guys
