A Conversation with Tom Anstead of Anstead Watches
A few weeks ago, we got the chance to chat with Tom Anstead, owner and designer of Anstead Watches. Anstead is a retired officer of the United States Navy. His naval career, as well as the watches available to him during his time in service, very much informed the design of the Anstead Oceanis.Anstead's first generation Oceanis debuted a couple of years ago, a product of one of the early Kickstarter watch campaigns. The second generation debuted in September. Omega Seamaster 2254.50 [REAL] or [FAKE]?
Hey guys,Long story short, I'm working with these two pictures in order to identify if this 2254.50 is real or fake. I'm leading towards real as I really want it to be a real 2254.50The first picture shows an extremely faded Omega logo on the caseback, serial number and a strange arrow on the bracelet itself which I haven't seen on any other 2254.50 currently listed for sale.Any advice is much appreciated.
Speedy Pro Question - Counting Hand Skipping when using Chronograph?
Greeting to fellow Speedy Pro owners!I observed a weird behavior on my Speedy Pro when the chronograph is used. The counting hand seems to skip a second or two every so often. In other words, the counting hand would stay at a particular second marker for two seconds, skip the next marker and jump directly to the one after that. Is it normal for a Speedy Pro?
Strap recommendations for Calatrava 5127G-001
I have a white gold 5127 on a black strap that the dealer sent for free (because original was a little long).Unfortunately, the strap seems to have lost its shine and I would like something a little nicer.Do you guys have a recommendation on what kind of straps might look good on this watch and perhaps nice third party strap makers?
Rolex Green vs Blue Selections (Photo)
Tough to capture but my best shot...Which color do you think Rolex does better? For me the blue rules!
