Review Of The Sinn 856 UTC On WatchReport.com
"In my tireless search for unique, robust, and beautiful watches, it was inevitable that I would someday be wearing a Sinn. I chose the 856 UTC as my first Sinn because it represents a very nice balance between functionality and design. Before I get into the specifics of the 856, I want to provide a little background on the Sinn brand. Sinn is a German watch company that has been making mechanical watches since 1961. Sinn is owned by Lothar Schmidt who, in addition to having been with IWC and A. Lange & S?hne in the past, happens to be an engineer. I mention this fact because Schmidt's background in engineering clearly manifests itself in the design of many Sinn watches, including the 856 UTC..."Click above to see the rest of the review on Watchreportwatches-dealerSee Sinn watches on eBay here. How much did you lose on average?
Not particularly related to Patek...Since I switched from quartz to mechanical watches back in the summer of 2012 (now about 5 years), I have lost about 20 percent of what I invested so far by flipping watches. Which is on average about 4 percent per year.I calculate it as follows: amount spent on mechanical watches minus amount recuperated from selling some of them (ignoring depreciation or appreciation of the watches currently owned but also ignoring inflation or deflation of money).Using this calculation, how much did you lose so far in percentage? Curious to know what people in general lose over a longer period of time (5+ years). Please exclude non-mechanical watches (e.g. Fitbit, Apple Watch, Casio).CheersV.
DateJust II wrist shots (only) thread
okay.... while celebrating at one of our local pubs with the wifey this afternoon, found myself not able to take my eyes off the DJII and thought why not have a wrist shot thread didicated to the new DateJust II.with the increasing number of DJII getting accepted in the Rolex world, there are still loads of people dissing it, due to its new size and oyster bracelet option only.so far there has been some awesome DJII wrist shots, but i think it'd be ideal to have them all in one thread - what do you say?any sorts of wrist shots welcomed, as long as they adhere to the forum rules and is also family friendly - the more the merrier!anyway, i will start... here are some of my wrist shots. my wrist size is 7.25
Datejust 41 TT
Bought the DJ 41 this week to add to my other watches, have to say it is by far my favourite and cant believe I've over looked this watch in favour of my sports rolex's.I know it is not a top of everyone's list but it will be my Daily for the next 20 years.dj1.JPG
Imagine iconic Rolex fluted bezel in gold ceramic
One of the main concern with fluted bezel is scratch but imagine if Rolex managed to infused ceramic into their gold and come out with high toughness and mirror finish, that will be awesome.DD, DJ, SkyD will be almost bulletproof for daily wear.Probably they can look at Hublot's magic gold for some idea.
