Close-Up: The New Bremont America’s Cup Collection
British watch brand Bremont which already this year began a partnership with Jaguar cars and had prominent placement in the big-budget spy thriller Kingsman has pulled off perhaps its biggest coup yet, announcing last week that it has been appointed as Official Timing Partner to both the 35th America’s Cup and the defending Cup champion, the Oracle Team USA. As with the Jaguar and Kingsman partnerships, the brand, founded by siblings Nick and Giles English, has also introduced an all-new collection of Bremont watches to commemorate the milestone. Here’s what you should know about them (the watches, not the English brothers, though they are also very interesting)…The Bremont America’s Cup collection is made up of two new watches, a simple three-hand-with-date and a bicompax chronograph. Breitling Rubber Strap Spring Bars
Just purchased an OEM Breitling rubber strap for my Galactic II Chrono and I have read that a rubber strap requires a slightly longer set of spring bars. For bracelets 22mm, 23mm for rubber. I went ahead and used the standard 22mm bars that came with the watch and the fit is fine. Am I missing something here?Is there a know issue with using the 22mm bars, sure don't want to take a chance of losing the watch. Can any experts chime in?

Rolex as a Timepeice
I know I will get some heat for this but.... I never looked at Rolex as a timepiece like I looked at my PP/VC/IWC etc.... mostly as a daily casual and some staples for my collection (sub/GMT/Daytona), but I'm catching up on my mail after getting back from the Caribbean and got my Love Package from Hellmut Wempe and the new Rolex Cellini Moonphase in 18k rose gold just screamed at me..... I think its the 1st time ive been in love with a rolex..... I might have to put that deep blue on hold......but.... I am afraid that like my PP/VC and other beautiful dress ones.....it wont see the light of day as much as my casual rotation does.......:( but.... nicely done Rolex..... nicely done....
