Watches NEWS
Hands-On: The Montblanc Boheme Moongarden
I have never seen a watch like this before. Sure, it looks like a watch I have seen before, but when you take a close look you realize that this isn't your average calendar watch. This particular watch is called the Moongarden and it is a new addition to the Bohème, Montblanc's collection for women. What makes this watch so different you ask? Well I will get into that in a bit, but first a little background on Montblanc and their women's watches.Montblanc was founded in 1906 in Hamburg, Germany, as a pen-making company. In 1988 it became part of the Richemont group and then later in 1997 it began making watches in Le Locle, Switzerland. However, it wasn’t until 2008 when the brand began creating their own in-house movements with the caliber MB R100. With each year, Montblanc has pushed the boundaries with innovative, well-made designs that are reasonably priced (see the Meisterstück Heritage Perpetual Calendar for $13,000). This continues to be a running t
The coolest strap ever! + Deployant
Finally got these from the NYC boutique. Excellent service and venue., and gifted a travel case and the lifetime magazine. Very happy with the rallye strap- changed the look of the watch completely. The curved ends bring a sporty style to it. The deployant clasp is well worth the money. Very well made and super comfortable. Happy to recommend this combo to any Speedmaster owner.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New Ellipse
So what do you think for the upcoming Ellipse anniversary considering the discontinuation of the 3738 in all metals but not of the 5738P? A not so bold guess would be three new 5738 in G, R and J. Or maybe a totally new ref in similar size and probably sapphire back. The 240 is very beautiful so that would be very nice. What are your guesses and hopes?Pic of my 3738/100J. Henkan
two watch collection
I've been spending too much time on this forum and it's bad for my health. Considering consolidating my collection to two watches. Flipped the 5167a since it didn't sing to me quite like I had hoped, and same for my offshore. Been thinking about the 5164, 5167r, 5712, AP 15202, or smurf sub. JLC Jubilee ultrathin platinum would be the other watch. I'm waiting for the 5711, but it's been a year at my dealer still with some others ahead of me, so im not going to hold my breath for that one. I'm also particular to the dual time of the 5164, and the chocolate dial of the 5167r. Smurf sub seems like an ideal only watch, but I was irritated by the flak I got for my 16610lv just because it was a rolex (even tho I never got comments on my ap or patek or jlc). Just curious what everyone's thoughts are.
Gave this little guy a whirl
It was the favorite one I tried on while in Vegas. Truly amazing. However, like a fellow friend here, I won't pay MSRP for one. It really sang to me though.
