Haldimann H9 Reduction Watch
I thoroughly debated on whether or not I should even cover this "watch." It is from a brand called Haldimann - eponymously named after the watch maker Beat Haldimann, and I think the man is playing a rather cruel joke on watch lovers. One press release I saw on the watch wasn't a press release at all, but a rather diplomatic article written by a Swiss journalist based on his reaction to the watch. As a timepiece this item is utterly indefensible - but optimistically creative types will claim that it is some manner of art. This latter description is probably the kindest thing you can say about this horological insult. I wonder whether or not Beat will next release a pile of screws and gears and call it the "H10 Potential."Haldimann's H9 watch is called the "Reduction," but to me it is the Revulsion. The watch is "reduced" to a useless tragedy. I should have seen this coming, but perhaps never expected his audacity to go this far. And by audacity I mean it in the American sense"boldly ru
Reference Number for ROO 'White Themes'
Hey,Trying to get my hands on the AP ROO White Themes but can't find the reference number anywhere. Tried the AP website, Google etc. Next stop would be the boutique but they aren't that helpful most of the time. Hope someone can help me out and give me advice on a reasonable price for a used piece with box and papers. Thanks in advance
New Nautilus line soon?
I believe I saw on Instagram last week or so an invitation from Patek Philippe to a Nautilus launch event in June. I am trying to find that post again, but just can’t remember which profile had it. Did anyone get that? Is it official that there will be a new Nautilus line in two months to mark its 40th anniversary?
Finally decided I want my first PP and need advice
Hi Gents, I want to get a Patek and I will be getting from my friend that buys, sells and trades watches for a living. He sometimes trades me a piece for a piece or more, and often times I need add cash. My dilemma is I'm desiring a trade of several watches that allow me to avoid adding cash. My pieces I have to give up are 16520 patrizzi daytona on its bracelet(serviced last month by Rikki), a well faded 16753 head, an original parts 105.012 1965 Speedmaster, a 1939 original, in collectible condition Stowa b-uhr 55 mm navigation watch serviced impeccably. I own some other unremarkable pieces and not adding one Rolex because if i did, I'd have no more Rolex (so pretend I never mentioned that) With my offer of those above pieces, am I able to get into my first Patek? Is there any chance I can get a PP by subtraction of any piece in the list?I truly want one Patek in my collection that I can keep, and my only option I have to get one is by the suggested trade pieces listed.I'd really
Daytona 24 hour race watches
Does anyone know if the 2018 Daytona 24 Hour race winners were awarded the new ceramic bezel Daytona's or were they the previous steel bezel style?
