Thinking of an AP
Lately I've been looking at AP for whenever my next watch comes along. I have been looking at the 15400 and the Diver among possible candidates. The one thing that turns me a bit off of the brand is the large number of special editions and different themes like safari, vulcano etc. It all seems a bit fashion watchy. I know all about the exceptional quality and the great movements, even though some are modified. Anyway, what are your thoughts? I'm posting this here because I am pretty sure of the responses I will get on the AP forum.
Mid-size quartz Bond/SMP 300 value? & Date Change???
Hi Omega Friends, I have a friend that has a quartz mid-size Bond SMP 300 for sale. He wants $750. There is no box or papers. The watch seems to be in pretty good shape. Is this a fair price? Also, while I was setting the date, I noticed that the date began to change around midnight and didn't finish changing until around 2:00 a.m. Is this normal, or should it 'snap' at a certain time?
5726a w/rubber b strap or 5164
Hello guys, I am thinking about purchase my very first patek, and I like both nautilus and aquanaut collections. Here's my opinion:5167(X)-- I think it is a little bit too simple, plus one of my best friends has it, don't wanna wear the same one.5711(X)-- I love the simplicity and the history behind it, but the waiting list is up to five years, way too long for me.In addition,my dad says if you wanna buy patek, don't buy the plain one without any functions. It is famous thanks to its complexity.5712(X)-- Never a fan of it, as an art student, I really dislike the asymmetrical layout.5164-- I like the dual time and the rubber strap.5726-- I like the layout, and think AC is one of the most useful designs.5980(X)-- My favorite watch all time, but it is discontinued...5990-- It looks a little bit too crowded, which is a little bit hard to read. Also, the waiting list is about 2 years. But my father wants me to get this one.I am thinking about get 5726A w/ rubber b strap or 5726 1A or 5164,
