Patek Nautilus vs. Rolex Oyster SS Bracelets
Chaps, as an owner of both brands and bracelets with the onset of warmer weather, I'm curious what your thoughts are on both. Do you favor one over the other ? If so, why ? Does the finishing on a Patek bracelet outweigh the Oyster for you ? Thanks for the candid responses !
Hulk... real question ahead...
Now then, The Hulk vs Batman topics are getting a bit boring, every few days this question pops up... 'which one to go for'... the answer to this rather bland question is... WHATEVER YOU LIKE MOST.Back in 2014 both where sitting in the window of an AD as i walked passed... had to go and try them both on... The hulk, although nice, its just too green and a limited wear watch, by that I mean it shouts too much on the wrist and the green clashes with a lot clothing colours... the BLNR on the other hand, much more toned down, the blue looks bright or dark depending on the light. Yes, the Hulk dial is amazing, the bezel also pings... but too much IMO.Now, back to my question...The Hulk hype is currently going off the scale, rumours that this is going to be discontinued shortly (to which NOTHING has been confirmed, despite what people are reporting for Ad's!) Prices are going through the roof due to 'talk'. My Ad is still taking orders! Soo... with all this in mind... the question...Would th
My One and Only: Datejust II vs Explorer I
As some of you already know, I have been torn over finding my one and only Rolex that I hope to purchase in the next few months. I am looking for versatility in whatever watch I buy. I'm in a suit at least once a week and in jeans/button up shirt the rest of the week. I like the DJII, but I'm not sure if it will dress down too well with shorts and a t shirt. But, I like the silver dial, as opposed to the black. I also like the date function. On the other hand, I'm digging the chromalight lume, brushed bracelet, oysterlock clasp, and WG Arabic numerals on the Exp I. One thing I think I will miss is the date complication if I choose the Explorer. For those of you who may own both, what are your thoughts? Too many good choices out there!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Deepsea New V PreOwned
I'm looking to buy a black Deepsea and was hoping to pick up a nice preowned one, maybe two/three years old with some warranty still outstanding. Having looked around for the last month or so, I now realise that I'll be paying almost RRP and this make no sense to me, as I might as well buy new for that money. Therefore, my search has had to widen to slightly older models. What do other members think of going for a 7/8 year old model to save 1,500 off RRP ? Is this a false economy ? I realise I will have to factor in the cost of a potential service, and will not have the benefit of the manufacturers warranty. Would you spend the extra and buy new ? Or buy a nice older model ?I would be interested to hear peoples thoughts on this, and would appreciate any help/advice.
