Troubled Avenger II GMT: Just a Quick Question
Hi Gents & Ladies.I have a troubled Avenger II GMT and the distributor in my country takes no responsibility after 3 services (2 of them has the same reason and it continues). 1. It gained 60-80 seconds a day when the watch was brand new. I sent them, they told it was magnetized and repaired it. I bought their excuse for some reason since they were not tend to replace it.2. It started to stop on my wrist and power reserve went down like 24 hours max. They told the reason was because the watch has high amplitude problem and they serviced it completely and sent back.3. Now the same problem started again - stops on my wrist. Anyway sorry for taking this long and my question goes: Does anyone know how I can reach Breitling International customer services or some place similar? I want to make a complaint both for my watch and Turkish Distributor. Thanks in advance,
Hoping to learn more about this watch ...
I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me learn something more about this watch, beyond its being a Deville, presumably bought at Turler in Switzerland (?). And, possibly, any recommendations on where to get it restored?20150627_072822.jpg20150626_110020.jpgA little background ... my father bought this for my mother when he first visited Switzerland in 1968 - '69. Based on what my parents have told me, those were financially difficult times for them, with having to support an extended family. Coming as it did about five years after they were married, this would have been the first nice gift my father would have been able to get her. Growing up, I remember my mother wearing it proudly. At some point in the last 12 years or so, deteriorating health prevented her from wearing this (or any watch), until her passing 5 years ago. Over the years, the watch has been serviced and maintained, not always by Omega authorized service centers, until upkeep of the watch could no longer be hi
New to Me Vintage Omega
I found this while shopping around a little today in Tulsa OK between appointments. Has ingraving on the back for a 25 year service award from 1981. I am noticing that a lot of these watches are engraved on the back for a 25-30 year service award. This on has the original box and everything seem below. I did notice that the de ville on the dial is in script font versus block lettering. Can someone help shed a little bit of light on this piece and possibly a value of it? The bracelet is an original Omega leather strap with the gold Omega buckle. Also the Crystal is original as it has the Omega symbol in the center of the plexi.
Question for knowledgable members....
Looking to buy a friends 5711/1A - it's got box, papers, but is missing 2 links. Seldom worn and purchased in Dec 2008 - what's a fair price as it will likely require a service? Thanks!
