As promised... Group shot
Usually don't post much pics but I promised a group shot of my speedies after the ck2998 to DCheeta so here it is. I think I know what I'll do for the last spot but time will tell:
I know that DISCOUNT can be a dirty word - so apologies in advance
Hi Guys,I think this could be my very first post in the Patek forum, which can mean only one thing, that I well and truly have the Patek bug - well more specifically the Nautilus bug - actually even more specifically the 5711/1R bug. This watch could be my first Patek, it ticks all the boxes and gets my juices going. With most brands Rose Gold watches can be had at reasonable to deep discounts. My question is whether this applies to a gold Nautilus in anyone's experience and if it does, what should I be aiming at in percentage terms with my AD?Thank you guys - any input will probably prove useful PS - I'm pretty much set on the 5711, but the 5980 on a strap could be a contender.
Thoughts on lighter watches
Was wondering if others have this problem. Firstly want to say I have been wearing Rolexes for a long time and love them. I have been wearing my Nautilus and 5164 a lot lately and just dont want to go back to a Sub C or wear my newer GMT master C ,etc. I have a smaller wrist and that might be a big part of it but I was curious if others with smaller wrist have just got out of the newer bigger Rolexes because of comfort. I traded a Sub C when I bought this new 5164 and I just dont miss the bulk at all. I do love Rolex so maybe a older Sub on a strap or nylon would be a cool look and also be comfy.I notice that a lot of Patek wearer also wear some older subs so I was curious if I am alone with my thinking on the bigger Stuff if you are one with a smaller wrist. Maybe someone with some experience around this can chime in. thanks
Patek 5035r
Dear all,I am very new to Patek as I have spent most of my time on the Panerai sub forum. I have been reading and falling in love with the brand but have yet to have the means to buy one that I want yet. Thanks to all that post awesome info on this forum. Learned a lot about the brand in a short time. On to my question. I just found out my father in law has the Patek 5035 in rose gold. He has had it since it came out in the 90's I believe and the strap is in bad shape. I would like to buy him a replacement strap. Any suggestions is much appreciated. Is there a aftermarket option? Is it easy to do the replacement myself? or need to bring to an AD? Thanks in advance!!!Best,Jack
