Complications Eggsperts: The New Faberg Watches
High-horology companies Agenhor and APRP have come up with new complicated movements for Faberge?, of Imperial Egg fame. The Faberg watches with these movements two for ladies, one for men were introduced at Baselworld 2015. Here’s what you need to know about them.Faberge?, best known for its Imperial Eggs and its luxe jewelry, has gone high horology, enlisting the help of some celebrated high-mech movement makers to do so. At Baselworld it unveiled a trio of new complicated pieces. Two of them were women's watches with fanciful retrograde displays, the work of Agenhor, the movement company owned by watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. One watch, the Lady Complique?e Peacock, features a gold peacock that spreads its feathers gradually over the course of an hour, indicating the minutes on an arced scale. The hours are shown by a rotating ring: the current hour is at the 3 o'clock position. When the hour has passed, the feathers snap back to their original position. The most unus

A Look at the Timefactors PRS-9 Czech Air Force
Flying watches nearly always have some heritage behind them. ?The Bremont MB series, for example. ?You'll only get your mitts on an MB I (the rare one with the red knurled barrel) if you're fortunate' enough to eject from your aircraft in a Martin Baker ejector seat. ?That's impressive enough, but how about a watch that was worn by members of THE most successful WWII RAF squadron, 312 – the Czech Squadron'? ?We're measuring success by flying ability here; there are still seven Spitfires in existence today that were flown by 312. That's the most from any one WWII squadron.Strangely, the watch associated with 312 is rather less well known than most historical aviation watches. ?It's the Longines Czech Air Force (CAF) 3582.The Longines CAF was originally manufactured in 1935 and used the pocketwatch cal.15.94 movement. Marked on the caseback were the unambiguous words "MAJETEK VOJENSK SPRVY" or "Property of Military Affairs". ?Longines supplied three dial and movement variations
Grail territory. New Jumbo...
A lot of threads here lately on new Jumbos. Add me to the list. After selling my 15400 last year because it just didn't feel right, I made the mistake of trying a 15202 at a boutique. Game over. Meet my newest keeper. Had to let some go but so worth it. The bracelet screws are a bear to budge. Instead of butchering the screws, I'll try the NYC boutique. One word to describe this piece...PERFECT. It's a stunner.
My new PO has arrived !
Well, after chasing down several Fed.Ex drivers, about an hour on the phone with Fed.Ex, and 5 more hours of waiting for the (correct) driver to get back to the main shipping distribution center, I FINALLY got my watch !! Here is some quick unboxing pictures, taken in a hurry in my car lol, and one wrist shot of my new Planet Ocean !! I absolutely LOVE this watch. The Lume on it is fantastic, I love Omegas new green/blueish glow !! There was no sun out when I got the watch, (it was just about dusk out), and the thing was still glowing like crazy ! It's a perfect fit for my wrist ! This is my new everyday watch. Thanks again for everyone's support
