H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon Watch
Have you ever noticed how fickle your own tastes can be? I don't like to admit it; I like to think of myself as a very decisive and principled guy, but sometimes my own volatility amazes me. The new H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon didn't grab me at first. I thought it was fine C a solid design with some admirably artisanal features (check out that delicious fum dial) C but it did not blow my socks off. Not even a DLC coated titanium case that makes what should be a classic design somehow contemporary won me over. No, the thing that got me excited was a hidden hand. And then I started to notice all the other things I like about the watch, how it reminds me of one of my sneaky all-time favourites, the Bvx from Bottega Veneta, and how it sets out to satisfy a bold design brief and comes away with a smug smile on its face. This watch is not just a tourbillon. It features the option to have a second time zone displayed on the dial. The way in which this is achieved is perfectly simp
Never thought i would be here...
I started off in the rolex general discussion and that lead to 2 purchases and then i came to the AP section just for a browse and now i am dying to get an AP ROO FC dive Only problem is that i don't think my wrist is large enough... I have heard that the AP diver sits quite massively both in diameter and depth. I have a wrist size of 6.5 Would that be OK, or is my wrist too small :bang head:Thanks for your help.
Buying 15202 from AP Boutique- Is it worth it?
Hello everyone,Long time lurker and have learned immensely from all of you. I have decided to buy the 15202 blue dial in stainless steel and here is the dilemma. I can get it from the AP boutique for retail with 5 yrs warranty and possibly some knick knacks thrown in, likely nothing of value or buy one from one of our trusted sellers for about $1700 less. I will not be paying sales tax either way. I know I can get an extra yr of warranty if I buy from an AD but have to send it in for a ?check up, but is the extra 2 yrs worth the extra money? Thanks in advance and excited about my first AP!!
Firenze!
I achieved one of my WIS goals last week and made it to the Panerai boutique in Florence! The spacious newly designed boutique is beautiful and smells of rich mahogany and leather bound books (Anchorman). It's about 4 times larger than any other Panerai boutique I have been to before and once they finish restoration and knock down the the wall to merge it with the original shop its going to be even larger. I tried to take pics of the inside but the sales rep told me that they wouldn't allow it yet because its only been open for 2 months and they havent even updated the Panerai website to showcase the new boutique. What I learned from this visit:1. You can save a lot of money over US retail in Europe. I was quoted $11,850 for a PAM 233 after VAT refund. Thats $4050 less than US retail. 2. PAM 233 wont have a domed crystal next year.3. I went in to try the 312, 233, 510, and 305 but came out LOVING the PAM 422. That thing is gorgeous in person but Im slightly unsure about its size. Hopef
