JC/DC Gummy Me Watch
Fashion designer JC/DC (Jean-Charles de Castelbajac) once again works with Hong Kong based watch maker O.D.M (ODM) in this interesting and whimsical watch called the "Gummy Me." Done in silicone, the watch in its entirety looks like a sort of rabbit-like creature. The eyes are two small LCD screens that tell the time (hours for one eye, minutes in the other). Coming in four colors it is strange, it is fun, and it is probably not destined to find a home on most people's wrists - but some will love it.JC/DC refers to the design as an alien rabbit - something that should be experimented on. The package itself is shaped a bit like a specimen sample. They are playing on the whimsy of the character. To me the Gummy Me rabbit looks like a cross between Bugs Bunny and that Life in Hell rabbit that Matt Groening created. The last JC/DC watch I wrote about was a Lego model that I wrote about here. This man loves toys. So why doesn't he design kids clothes? While the Gummy Me watch is totally stra

2018 Basel ....Pepsi GMT Jubilee SS (not Coke)
I know that the general consensus or at least the most talked about potential release this year is the Coke bezel GMT on a jubilee bracelet. However, I will put this out there that it will be a Pepsi GMT on jubilee bracelet (SS). My reasons are as follows:WG Pepsi GMT discontinued so keeping Pepsi GMT in the line up would be okNew Pepsi GMT will be on jubilee so it won't piss off current owners who bought WG on a oyster bracelet for $$$. Rolex will also make it so that owners can't just swap out a jubilee for oyster bracelet (using Sub or BLNR bracelet) because Rolex will alter the case dimensions slightly due to new movement. Therefore you won't be able to make you new Pepsi GMT look like a WG Pepsi GMT.Extend the life of the Pepsi bezel and recoup more R&D costs because it's only been out since 2014. Why stop Pepsi GMT after a few years. They can still sell boatloads of Pepsi because WG priced normal people out of the market. They can run with Pepsi GMT for another 5-6 years
