Celebrity Wrist Watch: Samuel L. Jackson Sports Piaget in “The Avengers”
In Marvel Studios’ new blockbuster film “The Avengers,” Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Fury, leader of S.H.I.E.L.D., the top-secret government agency behind the formation of the world’s mightiest super-hero team. But the watch he’s wearing in the movie is no longer a secret: it’s a decidedly masculine model from Piaget’s iconic Polo collection. The watch is a Piaget Polo Chronograph, powered by Piaget’s in-house Caliber 880P movement. The model that Jackson wears in the movie has an 18k white gold case, silver dial and black alligator strap. In addition to its automatic chronograph with flyback function (perfect for Fury to monitor the time-sensitive espionage missions of his agents), the watch also features a dual-time-zone indication (ideal for keeping track of time in another zone while cruising around the globe in the massive S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier). The watch, despite its big 43-mm diameter, has a de riguer ultra-thin case. It also fe
Apple Watch Hermes With New Straps & Dials
Apple has announced today one new luxury version of the Apple Watch known as the Apple Watch Hermes. This version of the Apple Watch comes in the polished steel case both with Hermes leather straps, as well as some special watch dials that match the Hermes aesthetic. There are a ton of Apple Watch Hermes options, and they are mostly priced just over the Apple Watch with the steel bracelet. Hermes lovers also get a series of strap choices as well as colors - and new Hermes-themed Apple Watch dials.Hermes, of course, produces their own watches, but they are also a known supplier of very good watch straps to a range of other brands, such as Parmigiani. Hermes leather is among the finest in the industry, with some people saying that it even beats leather from other luxury houses such as Louis Vuitton. The distinctive honey-colored Hermes leather many people are familiar with will now be a part of the Apple Watch family. The Hermes straps for the Apple Watch will be segmented into two versio
first patek
friends,i need some expert advice on buying my first patek. here are my thoughts (a bit chaotic) and options:1)Calatrava 5296r-010 (non sector white dial): i really like this watch. but has wrist presence inspite of its rather small size, very elegant.2) annual calendars: i can get a 5396r-012 (breguet numerals, white dial) and a 5205g-010 (darker dial). i have a slight estethic preference for the 5205 but the 5396 breguet might become a future classic while that is difficullt to say about the 5205. or am i wrong?3)nautilus: i can get (actually at a fair discount) a 5711r but it does little for me. surely a great watch but the dial color is not really spectacular. the other option is a 5980 1AR-01 which - surely the most expensive watch i have under consideration- is spectacular.grateful for all thoughts...cheers peter

So here's my Dillema I recently saw a Patek Philippe 5726 annual calendar on a leather strap at an AD and instantly fell in love. I currently Love all my watches and I'm not in the position to buy this outright so I ask you my friends if I should trade my 5711 for it. Money wise it's not the issue because I was offered great Trade in for my 5711 for a preowned mint 5726 so the difference wouldn't be much and I will stand at a great value. My issue is should I give
