Brilliance in retrospect...
Borrowed image...Just saw this on Instagram had to share it...I think the grey strap amalgamates with the rose goldaesthetics flawlessly...for many of us here it's gonna be a longtedious wait until AP comes out with a regular production RG bezel for the 44mm...
Omega History Help
So I've been browsing the forums and internet crazily over the past few days and have yet to really find information that I can really believe. So I pose a few questions for you Omega Vets. What makes Omega a special watch?Where are they made in comparison to the Swiss Rule aka 50% and are the main components made in Switzerland and does it really matter. Is there a big difference between the automatic and manual wind watches.. do true Omega buffs look down upon those who have the automatic versions. If there is anything else I should know within the context of these questions that I may have missed, feel free to make note. Thanks a lot.
Did You Know: Patek fun fact how much are OEM spring bars?
i asked service for for an extra set of spring bars for a custom strap i ordered and was told the price was $75i replied: oh my, that does seem like a lot for a pair of spring barsshe replied: im sorry sir, that is the price for onei felt much better once she explained to me they were made by swedish elves who transmuted the hair of a princess into gold. For a second i thought they might be taking advantage of me. Whew
5980 collection pointer!
A couple of weeks ago i was offered a 5980 in trade for my 5164A plus .For one reason or another that did not happen but i ended up selling the 5164 anyway as i had decided i really wanted a 5980.As it stands now i have the chance of another one with a black dial which is my preferred option. However i still need to lose one of the collection to make this happen and keep going round in circles as i wear them all about the same,so here it is.I want one of these. But need to lose one of these.I could keep them all but would have less funds in the bank than I'm comfortable with.Alternatively i buy another 5164A and be done with it!Any input would be appreciated as i'm going crazy as none of them are 'That' easy to replace. Thanks,Craig
Question about now discontinued Nautilus...
Hey,I'm a fairly new Patek owner and have been really enjoying this forum.A quick question as I'm unsure of which direction to take and would appreciate some insight:I own a 5726 white dial (absolutely love) and a 5205G. Love both watches and they have only wetted my long-suppressed appetite for more Patek. I'm especially enamored with the Nautilus, as it wears beautifully and just feels right. I planned on adding another Nautilus and I was going to try and source the classic 5711 blue dial. But I just got a very good deal on a new 5980 blue dial that is hard to pass up. Being that I already own a Nautilus with a complication, do you think its overkill to go with another complication, the 5980? Also, being that the model is now discontinued, should I anticipate an increase in value or was the 5980 not great seller in the first place? Bottom line, I could add to my collection with a 5980 new now, for a very appealing price, or have to wait months, perhaps even half a year from wh
