In Celebration Of Jack Heuer's Birthday, We Look Back At The Best Heuer Coverage On HODINKEE
Today is TAG Heuer Honorary Chairman Jack Heuer's birthday, and to celebrate, we're revisiting three HODINKEE articles that illustrate his importance to the brand that carries his name, as well as to watches and watchmaking in general. From early 2013, we have a video in which Mr. Heuer explains the design process behind the Heuer Carrera; from late 2013, we take an in-depth look at the very first Carrera; and from 2014, we have a video Week on the Wrist with the modern TAG Heuer Carrera 1887 Chronograph. We hope you enjoy, and happy birthday, Jack! Jack Heuer Explains The Design Process Behind The Carrera Chronograph, Both Old And New It was Jack himself who designed so many of Heuer's great chronographs through his tenure as leader, and this rare video interview with Jack, he tells us exactly why he designed the legendary Carrera the way he did. He also goes on to tell us about his thoughts on the new 50th anniversary Carrera, which you'll see in
New Arrival!!
Hi all,It has been a while since I added a new AP to my collection. I just received this piece a few hours ago and I was a little anxious since I have not seen this piece in person. It has been quite busy at work so I'll upload more pics this weekend. Since Mike has been teasing us with his new arrival on the Patek forum, I figured I might as well tease you guys with this shot.
AP Diver vs Vacheron Overseas Deep Stream Chrono?!?
Which one would YOU prefer and why ?I know we all lover the Diver (steel version being considered). And I do have an AP bracelet that would, of course, look killer on it. I have an opportunity to snag one but could do the Vacheron Overseas Deep Stream at similar cost.I do already have a Panda, which of course is a chrono.......but am intrigued by the Vacheron.Need to pull the trigger quickly so need some thoughts and opinions of the crew here, they are always greatly appreciated !!!!!! TIA !
Do they make such an animal? Hopefully so.
First up. I barrowed the attached photo from one of the listings in the classified section. Now to the question. I would love to find a seamaster pro that looks like this minus the date. I know most people want the date but it bugs me. Not so much that I just won't have it but I prefer, given my druthers, to not. So can anyone tell me if they make such an animal? Many thanks in advance! And a merry Christmas to you all.
According to an AD in Switzerland, the 5712 being discontinued in 2 years
The AD manager told me he was told this two days ago directly from Patek. After 2019, they are done.Any thoughts on how this will affect the re-sale value of them? Will it push prices up or down?
