Casio F-91W Watch Video Showcases Popularity Among People We Love & Hate
A quick check online for prices of the Casio F-91W reveals that anyone around the world can buy one of these classic digital timepieces for about $10 - $20. Casio has been producing the F-91W digital quartz watches since about 1991 and continues to do so with the original reference F-91W, along with other variations that add on such luxuries as a metal case and bracelet. The basic F-91W comes in a black plastic case with matching strap and blue trim. Why is it that this classic digital tool watch continues to be so popular around the world, and why has it picked up a reputation for being a preferred timepiece by Islamic terrorists? Of course Casio happens to also be the watch worn by most US soldiers as well as the likely watch of choice (the G-Shock models) of armed forces around the world.Starting several years ago, the media started reporting on the fact that various intelligence agencies around the world were using wearing a Casio F-91W as one of several factors to help determine i
Cabestan Trapezium Watch
Trapezium is a word that sounds both geometric and acrobatic. Does that mean it is both difficult to compute and perform? Yes. Those adjectives more than likely define this new watch by Cabestan well. The new Trapezium is an evolved version of their famous Winch Tourbillon Vertical watch and is the brainchild of Cabestan's own (and very talented) Eric Coudray.Among other things Coudray is the guy behind the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon. He thrives in producing highly complex, highly accurate tiny machines that few other people can make. Using the same principles as the Winch Tourbillon Vertical, the Trapezium offers a drum and fusee & chain system (with tourbillon) for telling the time and making the watch operate. Compared to the original, I believe that the overall system actually works better here, and the name of the Trapezium comes form the case itself. What is that all about? In Cabestan's own words:"In Euclidian geometry, a quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides is
Breitling UTC Battery Replacement
I have searched for this via Google, our search engine here, and other sites. This should be an easy answer, but for whatever reason it obviously isn't or the information I found is just wrong.I have a Breitling Aerospace (as many know) with a lovely UTC module. Well its time to replace the batteries and I got the Aerospace replaced with no issues utilizing an Energizer 371. But cannot find the battery type and number that I need to replace it in the UTC.Below is a photo of my Aerospace with the UTC attached. Does anyone have a clue as to what battery type / number I need? I did open the UTC back and the battery is tiny. Thanks for the help guys!
That first scratch....
Just noticed a scratch on my PAM 512 and its a big one. I'm very careful with my watches, so I was quite surprised when I saw it yesterday. Not even sure how it got there..........
