Canvas Poster Is Another Reason To Attend Bulova Watches Event In Los Angeles On November 20th 2014
There is still space available for the large Bulova watches event at Feldmar Watch Company in Los Angeles on Thursday November 20, 2014. If you needed another reason to RSVP in addition to the party with lots of watch lovers, drinks, and foodwe asked Bulova to do something special for guests - a limited production high-quality poster on canvas as a gift, while supplies last. The above image is from an original 1960s Accutron by Bulova advertisement, which in our opinion, tells of a time when watches were sold the right way. This ad was likely the inspiration for the inclusion of Bulova Accutron as a story device in the final season of the television show MAD MEN. This graphic will be reproduced on a large canvas poster as a gift for attendees of the Bulova event that is, once again, on November 20th in Los Angeles at Feldmar Watch Company (9000 West Pico Blvd. LA, CA 90035). Please RSVP to: RSVP@watches-dealerwatches-dealer.
My First Grail Watch: Michele Sofisti Of Gucci Watches, Girard-Perregaux, And JEANRICHARD
Welcome back to the original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with Michele Sofisti, who has been in the watch industry since the mid-90s, and has be at the helm of a number of luxury watch brands which as of today includes running Gucci Watches, Girard-Perregaux, and JEANRICHARD. Yes, that is a lot. With his grail watch, I think many will find it refreshing that it was a timepiece that many aspire to, or perhaps even have already acquired - and certainly a common one in the grail watch series. What I think is most unique here is that Mr. Sofisti eventually ended up working as CEO of the brand who made his first grail - nice bit of synchronicity there!watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Michele Sofisti (MS): I'm CEO of Sowind Group, as well as CEO of Gucci watches and jewellery. Used Speedy Pro
Here is my dilemma, should I buy a slightly used 50th anniversary Speedy or save a little money and get a yr or two old 3570.50 in better condtion?
Would anyone trade in a 359 & 112 for a 233
I promise this is the last question from me on Panerai (for now ) My dealer has proposed an option I did not even think about. I have the oportunity to swap my 359 and 112 back to him for a 233, an almost straight trade (with perhaps a bit of cash from me to him but not much). 233 pros:It's a 233 359 / 112 pros :It's two watches,Love the 359 only features (dirty dial, full arabic numerals, fully polished in the 1950 case.),Love the 112 uncomplicated simplicity that is the opposit of the 359.Cons:Not sure I really love the 233 dial, it looks very intense in comparison to a 112 or even a 359.One expensive watch to have - servicing, fear of damage , theft etc.A real food for thought moment I suppose. The 292 Ceramica I was after is now not going to happen.
Show me your Yacht-Master II Pics!
As I wait patiently for my Deep Sea JC to arrive I am on a search for my next watch. I know the YM II is not as popular on this site as the LVc. But the LVc and the YMII are the two watches that have my attention, and that I can get my hands on this year. So I would love to know which one you like the best. The three choices are of course the SS, TT Steel and Everose Gold, and the Yellow Gold. I like them all but I am leaning towards to the TT.Also I noticed that the YMII is in many ADs. So if you got a discount and you care to share what percentage you may have gotten off that would help me out in the buying process. If you paid MSRP that is good information as well. So show us your pics of this beautiful watch and let me know what you think of these three. Thanks in advance!
