Swiss Army Original Chronograph Watch
Over the summer of 2011 Swiss Army Victorinox released a new version of their "Original watch" that I covered here. It was a modern rendition of the original watch that put the brand on the map. Retaining the good looks and legible dial, the "new" Original watch is more modern in its looks and presentation. Now just a little bit later Swiss Army Victorinox announces and will soon release a chronograph version of the Swiss Army Original. In case it was not obvious, the watch will be called the Swiss Army Original Chronograph. As you can tell, in comparison to the three-hand Original model the Chronograph features a slightly different dial. This is all due to the addition of the chronograph subdials. While they don't specifically mention it, I think that Swiss Army is using an ETA quartz chronograph movement. It is certainly a Swiss made quartz movement at the least. My favorite part of the Original Chronograph is the integration of the chronograph pushers. The large rounded push-pieces lo
Introducing the Defakto Struktur
There are a few brands out there whose every release excites us. Whether it's due to infrequency (thus making every release a big deal) or sheer style, we always look forward to their releases. Defakto is one such brand for… well, both reasons actually. They release one maybe two watches a year, and though they tend to be subtly different than the last, are always a delight to view. Recently, they released their "modular" series (one of which I am wearing while writing this, and I can say without a doubt it's their best to date… but more on that in a few weeks) and just today they announced another new line, the Struktur.Following up their first quartz watch, the Detail, the Strukur utilizes the same 40mm x 6.6mm thin case, but introduces something totally new to the Defakto catalog; 3-hands. Yes, to this point, Defakto, who made a name for themselves with one-handed watches, had yet to produce a 3-hander. The Struktur does so in an elegant manner, keeping true to the moder
New Strap for 15707CE Diver: Which Color?
Considering buying a new strap for my CE Diver. I can't help myself sometimes IMO these are the only options that could work, but feel free to make other suggestions in the comments.I'll tell you right now, I'm not crazy about getting the orange strap despite it probably matching the best (aside from black). I kept it in the poll though cause I know it would have been mentioned repeatedly, so with that said vote away.Thank you!
AP suggestions in Sydney
Hi Gentlemen,Since our mighty dollar has fallen so much against the USD which rules out purchasing from USA, my AP itch is starting to crawl back (at the wrong time) What is a reasonable discount for Australian ADs to give for a SS novelty or even SS RO chrono 41mm? Im not limited to sydney as i often travel for work.Any input will be appreciated, feel free to pm if you want to protect the ADs name. Thanks,James
