incoming - jumbo's new blue friend
i had been coveting this for some time now, and lucky enough to land a pre-owned one.photos of the blue dial have kept me mesmerized in suspense. and now, seeing it in person, it's a totally different excitement. i have to spend some time viewing it more meticulously, but wanted to share the incoming with the rest of the community.immediate reaction is that the sheer feel/weight of it in my hand is extremely impressive. there's a fit-n-finish feel that is immediate and intense.coincidental, yet fitting, that i had the jumbo today....thus why i posted in this forum.it's a blue day (apologies for glare of the crystal in the photo...difficult to capture with office window...and doesn't do justice how sensational the blue dial is)
A Tale of Two Schumachers (Ti and RG Audemars Piguet Schumachers)
Alright, as per some requests, here are some pics of the two Audemars Piguet Schumachers (titanium and rose gold) side-by-side. I wasn't able to take any in direct sunlight, but will try to do so at a later point today if possible...
Looking for my 1st SMP300 - which will you pick?
Thinking of adding this iconic Omega to my collection. Never really been a Omega dive watch fan but the PO8500 and SMP300 slowly winning me over...Now it is either the wave dial with AL bezel insert or the ink blue dial with ceramic bezel insert. Both running on the 2500 caliber. The older model has a white date wheel and the newer one shows a black date wheel. The blue is the new model is richer and the blue in the old model a little subdued.Dimensions remain similar. The new model costs about USD450 more than the old model.Which do you own? Any thoughts?Below are pictures taken from Omega official site. The New SMP300:The Old SMP300:thanks for your inputs! :)
Genta interview, Nautilus for ladies
I'm sure some have read this before. Really interesting interview with Genta, who seems quite a character..veryimportantwatches/...g_rules_en.pdfThe funny comment I thought Patek owners would enjoy was that he really designed the Nautilus to be a ladies watch. Neat how things evolve.
Tudor GMT wait time
Just a quick question. For those who have gone to their AD to be put down for the new Tudor pepsi. What is the current wait time looking like for you all?
