30% Off Wristwatch Annual 2009 Guide At aBlogtoRead.com
Apparently aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer is now a source for deals. Right now you can get Abbeville Press' wonderful "Wristwatch Annual 2009" Guide for 30% off by using the coupon code "ablogtoread" "if you purchase from Abbeville's Wristwatch Annual Purchase page here. This offer last until February 28th, 2009 (unless I convince them to extend it). This is really a great watch publication for a couple of reasons. First let me say that it is nice to sometimes read watch related content "offline." That experience will never be supplanted (fully) by the Internet. I first discovered Wristwatch Annual when I was in college. I attribute my current passion for to this book, seriously. I was browsing in a bookstore at the magazine rack, and saw this thick, nicely printed guide all about watches (for that year). Flipping through the pages I decided it would be really cool to look at, and honestly that is how ALL THIS started. 2009's version of the publication is 456 pages of pure, unadulterated w
RO perpetual calendar stainless steel white face or blue?
Hi peeps, thinking if I should get the REF. #26574ST.OO.1220ST.01 or the blue face variation. If I go for the white I could get at least a 15% off the AD. However for the blue I could only get from the boutique and can only get 3% off. I've seen both in the flesh and personally prefer the blue face but the pricing difference is pretty significant. Any ideas?Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
A little disappointment with Omega
Took my Speedmaster to the closest Omega AD as one of the chrono hands wasn't resetting to zero and it hadn't been serviced. Was keeping time around -15 sec per day. I've had it for around 5 years. They sent it to Omega for service. Got a call from Omega today. The movement isn't performing to our standard and needs a full service. Ok. No sweat. Cost? 950$...ouch, but it is a chrono so....Big disappointment--watch will have a ONE year warranty after service compliments of Omega. Guess that's why we all appreciate the 5 year Rolex warranty. Sigh. Seems a little short to me. But oh well I guess.
AD with every Aquanaut
All,I'm in Aruba as we speak. I stumbled upon (ok internationally stopped by) the only PP AD on the island.I was surprised to see they the 5167R, 5167A, 5164 and the 5167 in SS along with a bunch of Nautilus options (no 5711s though). The prices are marginally lower than the US (and no tax of course). Anyway, if you have a trip planned to Aruba and looking for an Aquanaut, thought I'd share the info. Also, they said PP will not allow them to ship outside of Aruba - even if you bought in person. If anyone is dying for one and I can help in any way while I'm here, let me know. I had a good conversation with the mgr and they seemed eager to please.
