This is incredible and my favorite Speedmaster Pro combination
I think out of the Mitsukoshi SE Panda, Gemini blue dial and the CK-2998, this is easily my favorite Speedmaster combination. I switched out the blue strap and placed the special ordered 1125 bracelet on the CK-2998 and the result, just out of this world awesome. The combination screams vintage and the bracelet for some reason just makes the blue look more black and resulting in a super panda look. Omega should really make the CK-2998 release in a bracelet and even if they made the run in 8,000 pieces, they would sell out like hot cakes. Is this not just awesome or what?
5167R or 5167A
I love PPs. They are stunning and gorgeous. I really have an itch one. i can afford a 5167a now, but have to save for the 5167r (it could be several years). Given my collection (SS Daytona, SS milgauss GV and breitling SuperOcean on a rubber strap), what should I do?? I won't trade any of my current watches to raise $$. Patek Phillipe service estimate
I just read a post on another forum from a watchmaker who recently sent a 119 year old Patek Phillipe 14k pocket watch back to Geneva for an estimate to repair it. As you probably know, PP will repair any watch they've ever sold, for a price. The estimate came back at $13,000.00 with an ETA of approximately 40 MONTHS!!! Kinda makes a Rolex $500 - $600 service seem like a bargain, huh?
Show me your straps! Please :)
Im looking into changing up my strap on my 112.Currently I have an OEM gator(black) contrast stitching. Its showing some wear after a year with minimal use. I really like the brown calf with contrast sticking but there are so many options!Post some pics please! Thanks!!!
Pepsi GMT can back from NYC RSC
Got my Pepsi back from the RSC. OMG it looks fantastic!!! I purchased this piece from someone here on TRF who sells preowned Rolex's. I had to send it it, due to the crown needing replaced. I decided to have it serviced anyway, and got it back. The RSC did a fantastic job on it! The watch looks new! I'll have to post some pics of it. Glad I made this purchase. Love my pepsi!
