The Value Proposition: The Weiss Standard Issue Field Watch, A Fine Step Toward Truly American Watchmaking
The Weiss Watch Company has an ambitious goal: to design, manufacture, and assemble a mechanical watch not just within U.S. borders, but within the tighter parameters of Los Angeles County. Can an area known more for media moguls and perpetually flawless weather support a mechanical wristwatch supply chain? The answer is yes (with the exception of movement production – for now). The Weiss Standard Issue Field Watch is the first offering from this young start-up, and while it isn’t a full-on grand slam, there are a number of characteristics that make this a compelling option for anyone looking for a solid, casual-wear watch under $1,000. 2 OF 10 The company’s namesake founder Cameron Weiss knows a good bit about watchmaking. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Quartz
Hi everyone. I was just wondering to see if anyone on the forums had a quartz AP Royal Oak. I have a couple higher end automatic movement watches, but want to have one quartz watch to round out the collection. If you have one, is there anything to look for when purchasing the watch? Are there even fake models for the quartz AP RO's? Any input would be appreciated, and if you wanna throw up pictures I'm always appreciative. Thanks
New SuperOcean Chrono II RED

Ive ordered 1/2000 only Brietling SUPEROCEAN CHRONOGRAPH II RED .breitling/en/news/ind...dContent=64955 my slight dilemma is that is comes with a polished SS bracelet. Ive never owned a watch with a polished bracelet and worry that its a little 'Bling' for my liking. however they have also introduced another strap in leather with red piping that may suit me better.. so i think im going to end up buying this aswell? does anyone have any thoughts/pictures wearing a polished bracelet? is it too much? the 2 straps in question are : and any comments / help would be greatly appreciated.. cheers Andy..
How far have you pushed your Aquanaut?
Have seen a few posts on the edges of this topic but looking for a head-on answer to how far a 5167 can be pushed in terms of activity - how far have these been pushed and are there any true use cases out there that have actually damaged the watch beyond cosmetic? Thanks.
