My First Grail Watch: Matt Smith-Johnson
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we are touching base with another member of team ABTW that you likely are not familiar with, Matt Smith-Johnson. Read on to learn about his true first grail, how his grandfather got his interest in watches started, and what he calls out as his holy grail watch.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Matt Smith-Johnson: Hey there! My name is Matt Smith-Johnson, and I'm the Art Director for ABTW. Additionally, I am the owner and maker of Teenage Grandpa watch straps. Seiko Pullsse Odograph Watch Is Little Japanese Overlord Of Walking, On Your Wrist!
Why on Earth is this watch not officially sold in the US? I mean you can still get it online, but people need a watch like this to get them through the day, at least any walking parts. Frankly, I will all but forget how to stroll or pace without this watch. The Seiko Pullsee is technically a fitness watch, but really serves to do something that the Japanese love, give you extraneous information. An upgrade from the mere "Pedessa" model, the Pullsee relies of two basic sensors to tell you everything you need to know. It has a built in pedometer and rate-heart monitor. As an odograph, this watch literally measures walking.?? The pedometer is an internal sensor, while I believe the heart rate monitor is attached to the strap which would touch your wrist. In addition, it has a calendar, stop watch functions, calendar, and other functions you'd expect in a fitness watch. It also looks like the LCD screen itself also have a few color modes and changes to green or red depending on whether you
Which Aqua Terra for business wear
I saw the Aqua Terra 8500 in person for the first time recently and really was impressed. I really like the blue dial without the PCL. However , I wear a suit at work, and I am concerned that the blue dial might stand out too much to my customers. What do you guys think? Should I consider another color dial?
I joined the club today...
This year its twenty years, since I live in Switzerland and I decided to celebrate this with a watch. I narrowed down my search to the few brands I like and finally decided to get a Rolex. The Explorers where long on my list but after some weeks ad different watch stores I bought myself a Submariner today and Im very happy. This forum was quite useful in the last weeks, so thank you all.
If I buy a new submariner 114060 today from an official AD and sell it 4 years later..
Would I lose a lot? Just wanna have the option to cash out in case I need the money for stocks etcBackstory: I just put my name down in the list for the 114060 a while back. Just a bit worried that I might regret after a few years and get tired of it hahaMy usage would probably be on fridays and weekends only
