Blancpain Introduces Saint Valentin Ladies’ Watch
With the 2012 holiday season behind us, Blancpain is already looking ahead to Valentine’s Day, with the debut of its new Saint Valentin 2013 limited-edition watch, a ladies’ model with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond-bedecked bezel. The Blancpain Saint Valentin 2013 uses the iconic imagery of the heart universal symbol of romantic love and of the watch’s namesake saint as its primary motif. The base of the watch’s dial is white mother-of-pearl, and the hour markers are diamonds. The dial is enhanced with five red-lacquered, mother-of-pearl marquetry hearts, the largest of which surrounds the date window at 3 o’clock. The counterweight of the slender, central seconds hand takes the shape of the Blancpain “JB” (initials of founder Jehan-Jacques Blancpain) logo. The 34-mm stainless steel case features a bezel set with two rows of full cut-diamonds, and the case middle also sports five red hearts, here made of liquid ceramic. To make these
Brand new ROO headed back to APSC For a second time - very unhappy
So it looks like I have to send my watch yet again back to APSC.I originally send it in because the date wheel stuck at midnight for over an hour (one time incident), when winding and screwing down the crown it felt very gritty and grinding like there was residue or dried lubricant in the threading, and over all the accuracy of the watch was all over the board.I wasn't sure about sending it in at all until I stopped in the AP Boutique where I compared my watch to others and the staff definitely recommend I send it in based on the crown grinding alone, but of course they'd look into all other items on my list.So I received my watch back about a week ago and I'm sorry to report the crown sounds and feels exactly the same. The accuracy issues are worse than before and now I'm realizing there's a sound coming from the movement when I move (but not shake) the watch around. Sounds almost like spring sound or something.APSC has already sent me a return label but also gave me some speech ove
Considering a different AP
I would really appreciate some input from the AP experts on here. I currently have a steel diver in my collection (picture below), but it has not really been a great piece for me. It's my first and only AP. I don't want to give up on AP, so I am considering a Safari (26470), Ceramic Diver (15707), or Ceramic 44mm (26400).The challenge is that I have a 6.5 wrist and the diver feels a little top heavy. I have considered moving to the smaller strap size, and may do that with my next piece. For those that perhaps started with a diver, did any of the above provide you with a better AP experience? I am leaning towards the Safari, and would value any thoughts you may have.Thank you!

...Would you choose the ROC Panda or the 15300ST white dial? Maybe a why and some pics to drool over?....
Advice on watch purcahse 5712R, 5980R, 5712R, AP ROO 29540
Hi Guys,I just returned from Zurich and tried a bunch of amazing watches. Here is my short list of favourites:5980/1R75,000 CHF (?51,500)5980R52,700 CHF (?36,000)5712R38,400 CHF (?26,000)- Rose Gold ROO Schumacher72,000 CHF (?49,000)Although I went to a few AD the discounts being offer were horrible so I couldnt do a deal. My favourite watch hands down is the 5980R, but my wife felt that the all gold braclet was too much of a statement and I rhink ahe is right. It also sat outside my budget ao I needes to get one 30% off which would prove very difficult given how new it was. She then made what I think is a good suggestion.By looking at the big price difference between the Chrono on leather strap (5980R) and the moon phase power reserve (5712R), then factoring in a good discount, maybe I should consider two watches. For example the 5712R and the ROO Rose Gold 25940 (older model with round push buttons). This way I have a nice watch to wear with a suit and another casual watch. So may I p
