BREGUET Classique Hora Mundi 5727
Introducing the Breguet Classique Hora Mundi 5727Breguet unveiled the Hora Mundi 5717 in 2011 with its hand-engraved map of America, Europe, Africa or Asia and Oceania on the dial. The brand has released a more classical but equally stunning version of the model for 2016.It's called Classique Hora Mundi 5727 and features the signature instant time zone system with memory. Unlike a traditional GMT watch, this piece has no subsidiary display but just a pair of hour and minute hands. The mechanical memory with heart-shaped cams can be set to remember two different time zones. Press the pusher at 7 and the hands jump from one to the other and automatically take the day/night and date markers with them. The dial features a Clou de Paris engraving in the centre as well as a "flamm" and "panier" pattern in the day/night indicator at 4.Price: 67,000 CHF (rose gold) C 67,500 CHF (white gold)Par Fabrice Eschmannbreguet
The dual personality of silver dialed Navitimer
I thought I had to take more pics to describe this but it looks like I already took them. Most of the time, the dial will look like this (grey numerals on light silver dial):Then others, it'll look like this (white numerals on silver dial):
Recent trip to an AD
Stopped by Leeds and Sons while on vacation today in Palm Desert. Very nice people and great selection. Upon walking through the doors I noticed a nice lady purchasing a PP (couldn't tell what it was but most likely a gift) and she looked at me (noticed my 5167A) and said, He's a Patek Philippe guy too. That made me and the sales associate chuckle. The Patek section was small but had a few I wanted to try on. Just thought I'd share. The YG Calatrava was my fave followed by the RG 5712
Interesting Article.....New Submariner Released at Basel?
Is the world's most recognizable timepiece ready for a change?https://journal.hautehorlogerie.org/...-for-a-change/
Just found an old receipt
In spring 1990 I ordered a SS sub date from an AD in Reading-UK who said they would remove the cyclops with a guarantee to do it ok. (I live in the non-cyclops department and my eveyday wear is a 114060) see here.... I had the phone call after 2 weeks back in 1990 and meandered my boney-ass down town to collect. I arrived to find a very apologetic Store Manager. He was gushing with embarrassment and told me that they had ordered the wrong model and had received a Sea Dweller instead. Would I be happy to take the Dweller at the same price of the Sub less ?100 with a ?300 store gift voucher! the papers I have show the MSP at ?1,697.So my Dweller T25 cost me ?1297 . I sold to a smashing collector when my divorce was strangling me.....now rebuilding a new life and collecting again
