Sold the 15407ST
Well, it’s gone but not forgotten. Had an offer of $56K after 2 years of ownership. And apparently it’s showing up on trf AP is ramping up the production. I will buy one again in a couple of years when the hype dies.
Steel 44.25 mm Speedmaster 9300 waterproofness?????
How waterproof is the Speedmaster Co Axial with in house 9300 movement? It's rated as water resistant to 100 metres. The standard moonwatch is rated at 50 metres, I think. Is it safe to swim with this watch? I was speaking to an official at Omega in the UK and he said not. If not is it safe to wash this watch under the tap which is my main concern? Thank you in advance for any replies.
Incoming!! My First Patek Philippe: 5712/1A-001
Incoming!! My First Patek Philippe: 5712/1A-001Hi everyone,Just picked up my first Patek.Probably my only Patek, as I feel when it comes to Patek you don't really feel the urge of having more than one (unlike Rolex unfortunately). It's been quite a journey during the last couple of yrs with my watch collection but I have finally matured and starting to keep the pieces that mean something in the collection.I currently have 8 Watches and will probably stop at 9: 1 Patek1 AP (coming soon)5 Rolex 2 OmegaI've uploaded a review of my 5712 if your interested: https://youtu.be/RxcE2t9hPOML.W.CSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
First time trying on the 5711 blue. - background info + pics
Hey guys.So after a long hunt to try and find the 5711 in blue before deciding which watch is my next, I have definitely made up my mind.I have a habit and history of annoying AD's before pulling a trigger on a watch. I need to be 100% sure before pulling I do, and I think that is why I have never flipped a watch before. So the opponents were the 5167, and the 5711 white.I love the AP 15202, however just too big for my taste on my 6.25 wrists.I tried the 5167 on several occasions; and though I love the dial, the watch doesn't feel special to me. It didn't make my heart race. Then I tried the 5711 white. I absolutely loved it and was also being offered a very good deal on an 1 month old extremely mint one.I was really close to pulling the trigger, but I haden't tried the blue dial before, and that's why I was hesitant. I needed to know.Today, almost 2 months later, I finally was able to find a 5711 blue in the flesh, and though it is a close call with the white, this one is the winner for
If there was ever a time to buy a Rolex
..right now would not be it Forget playing games and paying the premium..makes no sense to pay a premium for a company that mass produces watches. It's time to explore uncharted territories and new horizons until this situation resolves itself.
