The central retrograde minute display may grab your attention, but it is only the appetizer. The unique jump hour display consists of a 12-link chain that looks like a tank track, powered by its own barrel. As they say on the late night commercials… but wait, there’s more. The movement of the jump-hour chain causes the entire escapement assembly to rotate 60o four times each day. With each new hour, the escapement assumes a new position. When it is time for the hour to change, the new digit takes four seconds to move into place. The designers purposely selected a “slow-motion” change, because an instantaneous change could generate shocks that might negatively affect the movement. The retail price is $200,000 in rose gold, and $219,000 in white gold. Specifications appear below the images.SpecificationsCaliber: In-house self-winding movementRegulating organ 18,800 vibrations per hour45-hour power reserveCase: Length: 50mmWidth: 44mmDepth: 17mmWater resistant to 30

TAMPA 5th ANNUAL GTG IS HERE IN A FEW DAYS______TIME TO REGISTER !!!!____
"Our 5th Annual Tampa GTG will be on SAT, November 13th 2010"...as many of you know, we have started a trend in 2006 that brought many WISfrom all around the world even closer. Some guys just jump in the car and get there,(some lucky ones just take a cab or subway)but many have boarded the planesor crossed the oceans !Not that GTG's are something new, but I think that back in 2006 we started something very special.Something that brings this great watch enthusiasts community even closer and something thatis actually way' beyond watches. I am glad that watches are my hobby ! Because of them I havemet many great people whom I am proud to call my friends now !What started innocently in fall of 2006 is now slowly but surely becoming a tradition.By now we had 4 nice autumn meetings in Tampa and 4 in spring that took place in New York.In-between these larger events several of us met in Las Vegas, London or Basel, but somewhatthe FALL/TPA and SPRING /NYC meetings that are 6 months apart are
Headwind
Just looking a breitling headwind on e-bay. Nice looking watch. 2000.00 w/box papers on leather. Can anyone tell me why it was discontinued, and if there were any problems with it. I did ask for #'s under band, he said he does not have a springbar tool but looks like 18003 or 18093. I know nothing about breitling, just looks like a nice watch. Any advice. Do these #'s seem right!
Longest time you've waited for a watch repair?
I just found out that the watch I dropped off on 6/12/2012 won't be ready till 12/18/2012 then takes two more weeks to get to the Omega boutique....So I guess New Years will be a fun and expensive day for me. Shesh 6 and a half months for a repair..
