Introducing: The A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Chronograph Boutique Edition (With Pulsation Scale)
Today we have a new release coming out of Glashütte – a new A. Lange & Söhne 1815 chronograph, boutique edition. As many of you know, the 1815 is the mighty Datograph's little brother, featuring the very same expertly finished and truly stunning manually wound chronograph caliber. In fact, some purists even prefer it to the Datograph for its lack of date, and thinner profile. There have been two generations of 1815 chronographs – the first looked like this, and the second like this. The difference between the two? The latter received an upgraded movement with longer power reserve, and a cleaner dial, void of a pulsation scale. Today, that changes. 1 OF 1 A funny thing about the 1815 chronograph is that while the new watch, with larger registers and no pulsation on the dial features a new movement, it is the original 1815 chronograph that has proven to be more popular among collectors. Perhaps it is that vintage-y pulsation scale dial, or a sl
ROO Lug / Strap Questions
I've been looking at a lot of ROOs, and I noticed what seems like 2 types of bands / lugs. What I think is the old style has lugs on the outside (kind of standard setup), whereas what I believe is the new style has what look like inset hinged lugs, and a staggered band.So my questions:1. Am I right in the old / new assumptions?2. Are the old ones less desirable / resellable?3. Are there rubber straps available with the old lug setup?4. Any URLs of stores selling old-style straps? Thanks so much, guys!
Breitling Airwolf?
Please forgive but I know nothing about Breitling watches. I went to look at a Rolex and found a Breitling Airwolf in mint condition with box for $2,500.I have a few questions:1. What does anyone think of this watch?2. Is the Airwolf hard to come by or a dime a dozen?3. Is this a good deal? Thanks!!Allan

Saga of my Rolex
Me and my Oyster Perpetual Submariner started our symbiotic relationship back in 1974 in Hamilton Bermuda. I have had the watch on my for arm more of my life than I have not. A scary thought. Twice we spent a few anxious weeks apart whilst it was being serviced. As a professional hotel chef my working life, this watch has been in all kinds of things I'm sure no one ever planned for. My watch has been well used and abused. Not wishing to provoke tears in any forum member, suffice to say that once it was taken for service in a Ziplock baggy in pieces. The Rolex people were not impressed ! A few weeks ago I found a well engineered thin stainless steel ring on my garage floor. Attracted to it like a magpie, I picked it up and mumbled W T F did this come from horror when I realised the bezel of my watch had disappeared.Knowing how much a full plus parts service was going to cost I said no way.Every time I guiltily glanced at the time, the forlorn watched looked back at me. I now know why the
